what would you do ?

im going on my 5th dirt grow and im thinking seriously about hydro. i have closet space about 4 ft deep and 2 1/2 ftwide. what type of hydro system would you grow? i know there is alot of different kinds , but i just dont know enough about it to make the decision on what to build for my space. i have timers and a 400 watt light mh and hps bulbs. if im going to do it its going to be all automated. from what ive read online and ive come up with deep water culture, drip system, ntf, or the fog method.thats what im figuring im going to have to do, but again i just dont know what would be the best setup for my small closet. i usually have 2 in dirt so im thinking 2 for dro? or more?maybe 4? i would rather have some cash right now than some stash. oh by the way this is happening soon, my current grow is going to be done in about a week and i would be more than happy to start a dro journal.any kind of input is greatly appreciated:leaf:

just for you viewing pleasures this is my current grow, i know this is a hydro thread but wth

I grew outdoors in dirt for many years and 4 1/2 years ago I decided to start growing indoors with hydro to keep me busy because I was out of work with some medical problems and was going to be out for at least a year,I read and read and read some more before I made my mind up and went with DWC and 4 1/2 years later Im still growing in DWC,I learned alot in the first year and have been tweaking my grow room still today,I wasted alot of money with things that didnt work as well as I wanted them to,the most important thing with hydro is if one thing is out of whack it effects everything, keep things simple and you will grow just fine, the most important lesson I learned was that you have to keep your res. temps in check I almost lost my first crop because of this.and that would have sucked all that time and money down the drain because of one mistake, theres plenty of good growers here willing to help but be careful on who you take advice from for obvious reasons, make sure you have a ppm and ph meter with calibration solution before you get started good luck to you and you will see a big difference between soil and hydro

Just grow two plants via the DWC method. Very simple, cheap, and efficient for your growing area.

Does the volume of the rez matter? Like is there a positive or negative for choosing a big tuperware container that holds 2 or 4 vs 5 gallon buckets? Or would individual square containers work better? I have a ph tester and ill get a regulator when I get chemicals.is there. Any nutes you can hint me in on? Need to get a ppm nutes regulator container and lids. Get baskets and some sort of median....I think I'm going to go with those clay balls.a double air pump with 2 stoner per container air lines and t joints........have mother plant vegging for clones.its the same stain I'm growing now I love lemon g haha...can you think of anything else I need?

One positive to choosing 5 gallon buckets is you can move the plants around giving them space and/or light as needed.

im going with the two 5 gallon buckets with 2 air stones to each. with that little drain tube and a 6inch basket.im using clay balls. i guess thats a good substrate ive read that rockwool can alter ph .. phillip haha i like that show and thats true, it will open up alot of space in there for me to inspect them.but would it be better to use scrog or sog? and 2 bubble buckets or 4 bubble buckets?if i went with 2 i would veg them longer as opposed to 4 where i would have a shorter veg.....which is more efficent in gettin the most yield for the time?
