so all you people who say he's greedy would do nothing if a car nailed you out of nowhere when you were stopped at a stop sign(or red light,whatever)completely not at fault and go through 1 1/2 months of pain(and possibly the appearance later on of back or neck problems that could force you to retire early or long term pain and suffering) and miss work for a month and you'd just tell your insurance company "no, thats alright, i dont want to use the coverage i paid for on time for a long time. hey, you should raise my rates unfairly as often as you please and fight tooth and nail so you dont have to pay me my benefits due to technicalities after i faithfully pay my premiums on time like im supposed to if i do get injured again."?

Apparently yes.
And I might agree with them if I hadn't been required to pay for auto insrance for 30 years which is supposed to cover us in cases like this. That's the whole fucking point of paying auto insurance in advance your entire fucking life.
If you haters want to lead the charge to do away with auto insurance and I no longer will have to pay that then I'll be the first in line to take my chances on the road and consider it as just shit happens if I get in another wreck.
Of course to do away with that we'd need universal health care, because no person can afford health costs from auto wrecks otherwise so what are you going to argue now then? Is auto insurance socialist or communist? Jesus...

in 1983 or 1984 (2-3 yrs b4 i was born)my mom was broadsided bu a drunken driver and my moms neck was broke in 3 places and my grandma had 2 breaks in her arm and her collar bone(flew 29 feet from point of impact.) but against all odds my mom not only survived, she completely returned to normal after she spent the yr in the hospital and rehab center.my mom sued him and his insurance company and she was supposed to get 150,000 in settlement but the greedy fuckers screwed her over, he filed bankruptcy and insurance said they were only liable for 25k of it and medical bills and the rest was the drivers duty to pay. kinda off topic i guess but reading rosemans post made me think of it.
