Tap water is fine, just ph it to 6.5. If you are worried about the chlorine/floride use a carbon filter. You can use a brita type or just get a whole home filter housing ($15), hose adapters for it ($5-10), and a pair of carbon filters ($8 ) for it. That is overkill though for soil.

RO or distilled are the most pure, but impurities are almost all useful plant nutrients.

You want dechlorinated water if using beneficial bacteria like great white, mycos etc. Letting the water sit or bubble the chlorine will evaporate in 48 hrs . R.o water needs extra Cal mag because it takes out the minerals in the water. Like stated above just straight up watering just phd water is good.
Happy growing

I have well water that is about 125 deep for my soil plants its just as good as rain (almost). The reason i use ro or distilled water for my hydro is because i have no idea what's inn my well water. I know what I'm working with ya know. A lot of people don't know but municipal tap water changes a lot depending on the season and a hole slew of other stuff. Take a Ppm , ec test in the middle of summer then take one in the dead of winter. You'll be surprised at the difference.

I like to use my piss. For one it's sterile, two i drink a lot of corona so it imparts a little Mexican spicy taste to it and the lime finishes it off quite nice. I know urine is acidic but some PH down and your good to go. I'm not saying you should try it, but if you drink jack Daniels let me know:D

Instead of the Brita, I use aquarium water treatment to de-chlorinate. A couple of drops in you bucket, done.

Sodium thiosulfate, Sodium hydroxymethane Sulfinic Acid and Sodium Hydroxymethane Sulfonate are 3 common dechlorinators. Mostly used in aquarium hobby. I have found them on certain chemical websites for purchase but have no idea on how to dilute them in a liquid suspension or otherwise.

I had wondered about using the dechlorinator from my tank just didn't know if it was advisable.
Plant and fish safe, I have used for years without any problem, and roots are always good. I use the concentrated, and for 5 gallons, it's 3 drops. Lasts forever, and all your chlorine problems are solved.
