also it seems like hps could be pretty pricey to consider you have to purchase the ballast, and more expensive on electric bill.

plus in a 2x3x10 closet.. not much area for a lot of hotness.. so i think ill stick with CFL's..
maybe 1 200w blue and 1 200w red. and get mylar or something.
you can get a 150w hps ballast reflector and bulb all in one eclosed setup for about 120 shipped...or if you have some diy skills you can get a 150 hps security light from home depot for 60 -80 depending on sales at home depot and rewire the thing ( which is easy) and there you go.......

yea but 1 150w would be way to little wouldnt it?
i was thinkging about growing 2 plants
1 200w redspec
1 200w bluespec

and was told that might not even be enough

I am using a T5(4' 400watt) for veging and temps are b/w 77-80, when I test ran my 400 watt(which i have air cooled) temps are about 78-81 at the canopy. my closet is 4x5x10, for the impact that the hps will have on the density of your buds in flowering and the resin they will create you really should just air vent one really well and go for it. You can do an interchangeable bulb that allows you to use MH for veging and HPS for flowering.

well i was going to have blue spectrum in reflector during veg and have my red spectrum hanging vertically to give off extra lumen's and then when flowering time came, i was going to switch the bulbs around and have the red spectrum in the reflector and the blue spectrum hanging vertically. That way the one in the reflector focuses on what plants need more and the extra light for extra lumen's

well if u plan on cfl you would need quite a bit of lights. and if u go with the lamp cord and socket the money adds up.
right on man....you just realized what a buch of cfls users figured out only after after they have dropped 200$ into cfls and acessories:clap:

scrog? and your cool tube setup did u do it all on your own or did u buy the ballasts already made?
