whats better for mothers and clones 24/0 or 18/6

is there a difference,now i keep em on 18/6 couse of the elec.bill,can a plant start to flower under 18/6 any time soon

18/6 is fine for mothers and clones, and will keep the plants in veg mode.

Personally, I recommend 20/4, as I have seen research which indicates that this is the optimum veg timing with regards to end yields, but 18/6, 20/4 or 24/0 will all work fine for your purposes, unless you are growing an auto strain as mentioned, in which case it will flower regardless.
