What's going on with my babies!

Hello, I have a pretty decent crop going, had it going for awhile now.

I use fox farm ocean forest soil and water, and that's it.

Some of my plants are looking really bad. These plants I used a different soil cause I ran out, it's like #2 something from the feed & seed store we have around here.

These are about 5 weeks into budding, what should I do?




This is what my plants usually look like, this one I am just about to crop. I only get about 2 ounces per plant, using 4 1000 watt lights, dirt and water.

Alright now I have another problem with my vegging plants. I've got like 5 plants that have been vegging for like 2 months. They don't grow or anything. I think I used different soil with those, too. The stems are very purple, I tried to use Cal-Mag one time but that didn't do anything. They just stay at a foot or 2 tall for the past couple months. Any ideas on what I should do?

I never used nutrients before and my ph is always right because of the FFOF is Ph balanced. I use well water which has a ph of like 8 but it evens out cause of the soil.

its definatly your ph. you need to water with 6.0 ph'd water even if you think your dirt is ph "balanced" looks like you have spider mites to me but cant be sure till you look un the underside of the leaves for them. the big brown spots are fungus probly due to high humidity. they look like they are in dire need of some nitro. and some other nutes. you should feed them nitro even after you start to flower for the first two weeks or so. hope this helps.

I don't have spider mites. Why does it matter? I used to ph my water but it doesn't make a difference really.

I dont know why 5 of my plants have fungus but not the other 30 ??

What is Nitro? I have no idea what to do with nutrients. Tried it before and screwed my plants up so I just use dirt and water.

I use FFOF, but I ran out so I used this other random shit I had. I don't know what the hell I'm doing with nutes so I don't use them.

well it matters if you have spidermites because they will kill your plants and make them look like they do right now. the ph is very important because it unlocks the nutes in the soil so the plants can use them. nitro is very important to growing plants its nitrogen. if you dont know how to use ferts you should just get some all purpose fertilizer and follow the instructions on the bottle but only use nutes every third time you water. sometimes some plants get fungus because they are in a place were they dont have enough moving air or they are to close to each other so they dont have good circulation around thier base. if your soil ph is 8.0 that is the problem flush with ph'd water and get that down to around 6.0 and you will see improvement in a week or 2

I don't have mites and I don't think its fungus.. there's about 9 of em im probably gunna chop them down
in in a little while I don't know what to do.

I got 25 plants ready to go into bud you think I could start using nutrients with them? Idk what the hell to do though...

soil normally buffers itself.ph is more important when growing hydro or in coco,rockwool etc.
many ppl grow in soil without adjusting ph,and have no problems.
also adding acid to adjust ph can change the ec and npk.

the soil you used wasnt good enough,it was lacking,hence the condition of your plants.

Yeah well I don't know what its lacking and yeah those spider mites aren't helping either im just going to trash them before something bad happens. I figure its cause of the ph the water is 8.0 so yeah screw em. Ill make a new thread later with my set up and a few more questions.

yes many people do grow in soil without any problems but where im at the the city water is 7.2 to 7.4 and it doesnt work with soil or anything else. i have had to add either ph up or down since the begining of time and if you dont the plants simply stop growing and get fungus and become targets for mites and e very other plant distroying pest. a slow growing plant will have problems when others in the same room that are doing fine dont have those problems. I use ferts so most of the time i have to raise the ph back up after adding my nutes.

thanks for the tip. I was thinking about that so I took them out of there. Switching to hydro now, but not sure what way to go. Have to buy everything within 3 days
