What's going on with my plant?

I'm definitely a beginner here. Plants are about 3 1/2 weeks now. Maybe I'm jumping the gun but I'm getting a little anxious. I have 2 plants-both from mid seeds-and the stem is quite skinny so I crutched them both. They are both healthy for now but they measure 5 1/2 inches tall and about 10 inches wide. Is that normal I don't want to check on them and have them both bent over dead! Any help is appreciated

look at this picture, the most efficient way of structuring a plant, use thin metal wire.

Any idea why the leaves aren't all a nice uniform size? There are 2 sets at the bottom that are gigantic while the rest are fairly normal.
