So, the leaves initially grow just fine, then end up contorting? I'm assuming you're growing hydroponically, yes? If so, you may have a micronutrient issue, but I really couldn't say at this point (I just have too much reading left to do). I've found Google and going with the aggie sites to be quite helpful, and the information is better verified rather than just going on what people throw out to be their guesses. Hit the "cached" link and your search terms will be highlighted.

Well, I just found a plant, ONE freakin' plant, that's dried and brown on the edges and the leaf is curling under slight. One leaf it's very noticeable, the others it's just beginning. This plant has received exactly the same conditions as all the others in my crop. I'm in soil that's been being very lightly fertilized and has compost and clay (high in iron content, probably also in manganese and calcium) mixed in. I got a cheap pH/Light/Moisture meter yesterday from the Lowe's down, who knows if it's got even approximate accuracy, eh? Anyway, all need to be transplanted and as soon as I get my CDs burned I'm off to start the process. I have a shitload of plants that need it. --> :? is for the issue with the oddball plant. Got more reading to do.
