One of my seedlings had its leaves pointing up this morning...Pics to follow, charging batteries.....but the leaves seem to have folded upward, no curling, no discolocration, on day 8. None of the others are doing this at all.. Is it stretching for light???Doesn't seem like it should be, there's plenty of light, Any thoughts????

It'll be straight, some just do that sometimes.. If anything I'd check how close it is to the light, and the temps in the room.. Just give it some time ..

That's called praying. The rule of thumb is that leaves pray for magnesium. But for a seedling that doesn't make much sense.

I would chalk it up to some type of stress and ponder that. Over/under watering, heat etc.

I just built them a new home today, but I started them in a box under 5 26watt 6500 K Cfl's. Temp was about 82-84. I have been stingy with water, wanting the roots to search, so that could be it. Post some pics in about an hour. Thanks PS This plant is in MG Organic, 4 handfuls with 2 handfuls of perelite mixed. I found better stuff 3 or so days later(Black Gold), but didn't want to mess with it until it needs to be transplanted.

Good idea to wait until a transplant. With MG Organic keep an eye out for gnats. They tend to have plenty.

And with a good amount of perlite, your plants will have a tendency to dry out a just little quicker.

Good luck!
