whats so bad about bagseeds ?

maybe ill just go find some super over the top flamboyant gay guy, you know the type that cant sit still like hes on fire, want all the attention on him, thinks everyone talking about him anyways, hes a grown man but acts like a 12 year old girl, wheres cartoonishly bright clothes that are tight, and he has on lip gloss, the type of guy no one want to look in the face, and if you do you cant help but fall out laughing.

and i just introduces him as my new best friend.... i think that'll do the trick. anyone hanging out with that type of dude has to be gay. no dout about it

The legend has been told that it was a single seed in a bag of weed bought at a Dead show that started the strain. A good story. But hears the closest to the truth I have heard outside of the horses mouth:

History of the Chemdawg Family

At a Grateful Dead show at Deer Creek Amphitheatre, 'joebrand' (aka 'wonkanobe') and 'pbud' met 'chemdog' and sold him an ounce of very high quality pot for $500. joe and chemdog exchanged numbers and they later arranged for two ounces to be shipped to chemdog on the east coast. According to chemdog, one ounce was seedless and the other had 13 seeds.

In ’91, chemdog popped the first 4 seeds. From these seeds, one male was found and disposed of (chemdog was young, you can’t blame him). The 3 females were labeled ‘chemdawg’ (now ’91 chemdawg), ‘chemdawg a’ (now chemdawg’s sister), and ‘chemdawg b’. In '01, chemdog and his girlfriend attempted to germ 3 more seeds, labeled ‘c’, ‘d’, and ‘e’. the ‘e’ seed never germinated, ‘c’ turned out to be junk (according to chemdog), and chemdawg ‘d’ was the keeper. In '06, 'chemdog' and 'joebrand' reunited and joe was given 4 of the last 6 beans: Chemdawg phenos 1-4, '4' being the chosen keeper. Joe thought the '4' was the best representation of the original and thus dubbed it the 'reunion pheno'. Chemdog still has two seeds left in his stash.

Chemdawg Crosses:
• 'OG Kush' (the original cut) came from an s1 from in a bag of '91 Chemdawg in the Lake Tahoe area in 1996.
• 'Sour Diesel' aka ECSD came from an accidental cross of ('91 Chemdawg x Mass Super Skunk/NL)x DNL after the DNL hermed and seeded the room. The DNL's lineage is NL/Shiva x Hawaiian.
• Original Diesel' (also known as Diesel #1, Headband, Daywrecker Diesel, Underdawg) came from a cross of '91 Chemdawg x (Mass Super Skunk x Sensi's Northern Lights) done by a guy known as ‘weasel’.

So as you can see its all about the UNKNOWN.

And the best thing about bagseed... they are FREE !!!

there is absolutly nothing wrong here.
what your worried about is waht strain it could possibly be or sex.
and thats really the only problem, so theres nothing bad, thats very common with seeds, unless bought from a pro dealer who knows what he grows.

one of my strains has bagseed ancestry too so how do you like them apples.(though shall we say its pedigree bagseed as i know everything about it lol)

so there ya have it im not completely one sided.

the joys of bagseed are there are allways those diamonds in the rough especially. or in this case you know what went into it and improve.

this is what breeding is and as the missus said this is the first cross AKA F1 generation. they will be a mix of the parents genetic make up and show a lot of vigour assuming the strain doesnt get depression and lose some of its vigour. but there are ways around this

this is why there are breeders and its worth buying there seeds they know the history of their plant/seeds and use various techniques to grow there strain and even improve (sometimes to the every plant is allmost identical or true breeding shall we say) the genetics are strong and sound and you will know what your getting.

but by the same token good medacine is good medacine no matter whish way you wanna look at things.

the biggest problem though is keeping that good medacine the same and keeping its traits true breeding and stabilizing. assuming thats the road you wanted to take. otherwise just cone of that bitch for growing (even if you decide to make seeds youll still need to take clones lol) its all about controling the frequencies of allels/pheonotypes in a plants population.

if you want something that should be easily reproduced you want to look into IBL strains or true breeding strains these are the closest youll get, though some breeders leave variation in there seeds to make this harder this is why i said youll needa clone to make sure the parents carry the desired traits or GENETICS along in its offspring and their siblings.

Landracce strains are good but may have some variation though most have somewhat reached equilibrium over time and you basically get similar plants. the joy with these are you can just selectively breed with these and run two seperate similar crops to avoid depressio the name of this technique is on the tip of my tngue sorry bout that .

and see how he breeds mother sativa (considered ozzie landrace strain now) its as easy as that. do some research and youll see why.

I wouldnt say i "prefer" bagseed.
But I will say one of my favorite smokes if from a bag, and that the whole price and availability thing does tilt in it's favour as well.
Just out of curiosity, what "name brand" strain would you say is your favorite?

I haven't had a bag with seeds in it for longer than i can remember at this point, but i do collect seeds from friends and no seed should go to waste!

yeah well i destroy seeds from sdhitty weed. i dont believe in shitty genetics surviving but thats just me

i love this sacred plant and dont like anything holding it back

just get the best possible bagseeds and u should be alright im growing one right now one that came out an average bag of regular or shwagg one plant one female and the buds look nice so far smell good and has tricomes looks far better than shwagg.
