How long do u think it'll take to start bringing it down?
it depends on the size of the room and the size/speed/power of the heater/fan

35/45 mins u should see results if it mimics what i had to do before i got the dehumidifier (worked for me) .......if i am right your temps should only go up maybe 7 to 10 degrees and will hold steady allowing u to sleep .......off chance that when u wake up the RH is in the 30s but i am betting not with the release of the water in the plant and natural RH

oh
when this is done u trim it anything u deem not pretty/good enough to go out save it up u can make butter out of it .......use several trimmings it makes a killer mix chemicals 2 oz to 1 lb of butter simmer for 4 to 6 hours strain out the plant stuff throw away that no good anymore .........put the water/butter mix in a pot frig over night take the butter out throw water away

u have some stuff that will lay even my old smoker ass out might take 2 cookies but i go down

by adding the fan u have changed the wind movment/made some so the huimdity around the plant has exchanged into the air raising it

u got one last choice i know that will work but u need to take extra care

do u have any window ACs they have a dehumidifer setting ..........the extra protection i am talking about is the water that will drip out the back of it .......this water will set off drug dogs

so use old coffee grounds in the area where the water drips from it

I'm not afraid of anyone selling it, I'm out on my own property mikes out of town. I can't put the ac in there til tomorrow. By that time.e I'll get a dehumidifier. Have I ruined it???

So this isn't gonna work?
no it can but u have to let it ........the water release has a set rate the heater coil/fan just has to process the air ..........is there a low setting for the heat but a high setting for the fan on it (increas the volume of air moving over the coil but the temp snor will turn it off when hits setting)

no at the worst case u only delayed the drying ......and increased the chance of mold attaching
(odds are u keep a uber clean house your ok .....not like it is a all male house )

right now your just playing the odds......u are getting a dehumidifier in less then 18 hours from now ......u really do not need to worry

if it was me i would as guy house i can not rem the last time vacuumed stairs or living room has to be few years

Oh OK. I thought it was getting higher so it wasn't working. It just has a low and high setting or just fan. Should I keep itvat low? How long will it take to drop at all instead of rise?

on the heating unit
set the temp to low .......this will make it kick on and off during the running of it plus help keep the temp of it low
set the fan to high.........this will increase the number of times that same air is passed by the coil plus ensuring the whole room is cycling at a fast rate

No it has a fan only setting, low, high. What if I just leave the door open to the hang room. It's in my house. Which stays pretty warm. I'm afraid to keep the room to warm in there. What if I turn the heater off and leave the door open??

turn the heat off allow as much of it to bleed out as u can and then shut the door .........with it open u have a different air current pattern (this is increasing the chance a mold spore can make it to plant )

So wait I'm confused. I don't use the heater anymore? Turn the heater off, shut the door and leave the fan on? But that's where I was before?!

18 hours is not that long
cooler temps are better then hotter ones .......u will be fine just get that dehumidifier tomorrow drop the RH to 50% ( look for the ones with the dail 1 to 10 they work in % 1 would be 90% rh is ok and 10 would be 0% rh)
