Just got my order in the mail from attitudes (yay!!).

I'm only starting out with a couple, and I don't want anything happening to my killer strains until I'm ready for them. What's the best way to store them to keep my girlies safe?

Cool, yeah I had a feeling as long as I didn't put them somewhere warm, dark, moist, and with plenty of fresh air I'd be alright lol. I just didn't know if there were certain conditions better than others.

And I'm sure I won't need to keep them more than 4-8 weeks, but better safe than sorry (if my first 3 turn out alright [white widow, Bubba kush, and northern lights x skunk] then I might just run clones and wait before popping another.

But that blue dream seed is calling out to me, lol. Speaking of, I know blue dream is mostly sativa--is it a fairly resilient strain? Difficult to produce quality?

Another thing-- I was realllly surprised with the size of some of these seeds. Some of them were TINY, especially the NL x S. I've not germinated a ton of seeds in my life, but if this nlxs pops a taproot, it'll be the smallest seed ive ever seen work.

Fridge/Freezer
Really? That was one of my first thoughts, but I figured that moisture would ruin them in there.

Also, on a side note-- I started germinating them in really small bags that weren't holding air, so I switched them into bigger ones today and would you believe it--the teeniest, tiniest mature seed I've ever seen in my life (northern lights x skunk) was the first one to pop a taproot. It had just barely cracked, so I put her back in there until I have my soil and stuff ready today.

If they come in plastic bags, then transfer to airtight glass vials. If you don't have any you can get them at a place like the container store for 99 cents. LABEL them and add tape to the label so the labels are super-secure. I keep mine in the fridge door. Without the tape the labels can rise off, so definitely add the tape or you'll have a bunch of unmarked vials and not know which seeds are which.

I keep mine in the freezer with no problems. Ruderalis is a good example. it grows in central Russia where it snows the seeds go through a whole winter and then germinate in the spring. To tell you the truth I think you can freeze just about any seed. There's this world seed bank in Norway they keep there seeds right around freezing. Watched this Nation Geographic show where they found this old settlement in Siberia. They also found Hemp seeds that had white embryos. I doubt if they were viable after 4,000 years.

Ah, good idea. Is northern lights/ skunk an indica? I thought both were, and I also thought northern lights was originally bread with a skunk strain..
