What's the best way to utilize (3) 8x8s and a nursery?

I am setting up 3 grow areas in a large workshop(40x50) that would all measure 8x8. I was planning to operate each one independently veg to flower and I would feed plants into these rooms from a 4th designated nursery area. My workshop space is already divided into 3 large areas by design. I will be running 24 plants at a time, and year round. I am planning to SCROG and super-crop using 20 gallon smart pots in soil.

Would it be more efficient to designate one of the 3 rooms to strictly Veg and the other two for strictly bloom? I will only be running 24 plants at a time, and year round. Please let me know what you guys think and the logic behind the room designations.

I always make the bud room 75% larger than the veg room, only cause on average I veg for one month and bud 2

having a clearly defined germing/clone area to a veg area then to a bud room makes the flow a lot easier

not to mention an office, seed storage, and drying and storing area, can all add up

good luck

Yea I think most people do run defined veg \ bloom rooms that are static. That's why I am wanting people to share the logic around it verses independent rooms that switch from veg to bloom.

I would say one room dedicated to vegging and 2 for flowering. The 12/12 rooms would run 1 at a time, opposite eachother.

The separate veg room would allow you to be flexible. You could put 8 plants in each room for your first veg cycle. When you feel things are right, start blooming in 2 rooms. Meanwhile, you could veg your remaining 8 plants, in the veg room, during that 8-10 week period. As soon as you harvest, you can clone those 8 big plants, then put them into your now empty bloom rooms.

Then the cycle could repeat.

Your first, initial harvest would be 1/3 less than doing all three rooms at once. But you'll make that up quickly in the second and third runs, because you'll be able to start them right away.

I'm not a commercial, pro grower dude. I just have a 4x4 veg area and an 8x4 bloom area, but that's how I handle it.

Yea that makes sense to eliminate any veg requirement in two of the rooms which would save time. You have an awesome sounding setup.

Thanks man, I've been messing around with it for awhile.

Your workshop sounds like it will be awesome when you get it going. Like vostok mentioned, extra space to move around and work in is a fantastic luxury.

Some of the people here are really good at these logistical, systems analysis kind of questions. Hopefully, some of them will weigh in and improve both our results.

-One thing I didn't think about was your big-ass smart pots. Moving 20 gallon plants that have vegged for months is probably not super easy.

-I also water by hand, in soil. If you have a more complicated system, maybe with drip feeding or something, moving stuff around could be a problem.
