right now I have 2 400W lights going 12/12....... my power bill went down, when I had one on 18/6 and one on 12/12, my power bill was unchanged from before I started growing......

do some research on how to combat the electricity and you wont have to worry about it as much.

im running 1 400watt hps lamp and since 1 of my roomates went home for the summer its dropped, even with the light at 12/12... So i mean, its not using all that much for 1 light...

Almost equivalent to say...a 400 watt powr supply from a computer?...:P

My 400 watt raised my bill 8.50 bucks a month. With my fans it went up to about 11 bucks and some change.

Cost of a light see my example:

kWh = Watt of light / 1000
cost for hr = price per kWh x kWH

1000 HPS / 1000 = 1kWh

12/12 photo period:

1kWH X $0.1178 = $0.1178 = Cost an hour
$0.1178 x 12 Hrs = $1.4136 = Cost a day
$1.4136 x 30 days = $42.408 = Cost a month

18/6 photo period:

1kWH X $0.1178 = $0.1178 = Cost an hour
$0.1178 x 18 Hrs = $2.1204 = Cost a day
$2.1204 x 30 days = $63.612 = Cost a month

There is no way on earth a cop or power company will even blink at a 400 watt increase or even a 1,000 watt increses,i dont even think about taking steps to conserve power in order to hide my light useage till im over 2,000 watts 24/7.
