What’s the issue and how can I fix it?

Coco/perlite, drain to waste in 2 gallon Floraflex pots for flower. My EC today is 1.25 but my plants are little hungry so right now I'm fertigating 3x/day until I add more nutrients to my reservoir as my plants would prefer 1.5ish. I pH to 5.8ish after the bounce and it usually swings up to 6.3 by the time I'm finishing up the reservoir, about a week.
Great answer

Hey, I’m running into a problem with my current grow, and I can’t quite figure out what’s going on. So, I’ve got the plants in 5-gallon pots, using Jack’s 321 nutrients and Power C silica. They’re on a 12/12 light cycle, just switched to flowering about 48 hours ago.

The issue? I’m seeing yellowing leaves, some wilting, and a few rust-colored spots on the fan leaves. I’m watering through drip irrigation twice a day until runoff, but thinking about bumping it up to three times.

I think it might be a CalMag deficiency. I say that because I don’t think I properly buffered the coco. I did soak it in CalMag, but I didn’t pH the water above 6.2 like I should’ve. Anyway, just wanted to see if anyone here has any ideas or thoughts. Could really use some input!

If your going by Flora flex turn and burn method and using their suggested ppfd, bump it up to 431. I'm using the same formula as you, had the same issue, and bumping it up fixed it. 1250 ppfd + Co2 requires a little boost in nutrients. I think flora flex's 3.0 E.C. is a little high, but 2.2 - 2.6 E.C. is about where you want it. As far as the Epsom salt goes, I only added 0.6g/Gallon instead of 1g, because Jacks actually has sufficient amounts of magnesium already. As far as silica, 20ppm is optimal.

Quite a few people omit the epsom from Jack's now, I skipped it during a four month outdoor run and had no issues.

There’s so much contradicting information that I’m not sure what to listen to. I’ve read people say don’t go over 1.6EC, then others says they push close to 3.0EC.. I’ve read people say don’t go below 1.5g/g Epsom, then others say omit it all together.. I’ve seen people say don’t go below a PH of 5.8, and others say don’t go above 5.6 in coco.

It’s all becoming pretty confusing and a bit overwhelming when I’m trying to fix issues that I’m currently having lol

The reason people used the 1.2 to 1.5 was because back in the days when LEDs didn't produce enough heat, people were seeing deficiencies because they were too cold. Extra magnesium was a Band-Aid. As far as E.C., the range is according to how hard you are pushing them and the strain. Some strains will start showing burn at anything over 1.8, some will eat 3 like it's nothing. That is a skill learned by time and can't be taught. PH between 5.8 and 6.3 have never given me issues. I'm experiencing one of the hazards of growing three strains on the same system. The other two are perfect while my Ghost Train Haze x Runtz are showing slight burn. I thought crossing the Runtz would tame the nutrient issues and stretch with Ghost Train Haze. I was wrong lol.
