Whats the latest I can add a top dressing of SS?

Hey guys. So I`m running super soil for the first time and I`m using 5 gallons right now and I`m in day 1 of week 6 and a bunch of fan leafs are starting to brown up on me. The first time I noticed this I top dressed it and it stopped it. Now its doing it again but I suspect I only have 3-4 more weeks left.

My first idea is to remove as much dirt from the top with out messing up anying roots and re add a layer.

Second Idea was filling a 5 gallon pot wit ss and running 5-6 gallons through it and collecting the water and watering the plants with that. Keeping the soil for another collection for a later feeding if needed. Not sure if people do that or not but it was an idea.

OR should I just let them finish with the leafs changing the way they are...There not just fading yellow. there dieing.

also, you did`t mention what you would like to top dress with ? and I guessing your in flowering ?

I use Bat guano (3-15-4 plus Mg/Ca and other trace elements) in flowering, at week 3-4 and agin at week 5-6 a few ts on top before I water, in my 5-7 gallon pot`s

tho I had good success with watering with a bit of water first so the top soil is wet when I spread the guano powder, I also rip up the top soil layer (maybe 1/4 inch) with a fork and help work in the guano in the loose soil doing/in between I add water, work intently and the next few week`s

I was going to top with more super soil.

ahh ok, yes I sumtimes do it before I enter 12/12 specially if the pot can take a few cm more on top, will also protect your root zone you have now

I just gave one of mine a few handful of fresh soil on top before I put her in the flowering room, the watering will take care of the rest as you kine a "flush" the nutrients down words to your "old" medium

as i said recently on a different thread, my plants that fade early usually give me my best medicine, smoother and better taste without really noticing a difference with the yield (I grow from seeds)

I top dress when I anticipate a monster no later than week 2-3 of flowering unless the strain goes 10+ weeks I might top dress in the 4th week.
