I think I'm going to say this before anyone else.
I've read to go no lower than I think 72 degrees.
So just don't go lower than that my man lol.

if u guys are worried about temps you can do a few things to really help. take some mulch and put a thick layer on your top soil or top of your bucket. then put black plastic down on top of that. the mulch stays warm on its own from ferminting but the black plastic will draw in more heat and help trap it inside. then you can use a thermal plant blanket to cover the plants at night. temps around and below 50 will stunt growth in most strains.

im assuming this is outdoor?

edit:

Both excessively high and low temperatures can slow marijuana's rate of metabolism and growth. The plants function best in moderate temperatures - between 60 and 85 degrees. As more light is made available, the ideal temperature for normal plant growth increases. In high temperature and moderate light conditions, the plant's stems elongate. Strong light and low temperature conditions will decrease stem elongation. During periods of low light, sem elongation can be decreased by lowering the temperature.

Temperatures below 50 degrees slow growth in most varieties of marijuana. When the temperature drops below 40 degrees, the plants may experience some damage and require about 24 hours to resume growth. Low nighttime temperatures may delay or prevent bud maturation. Some equatorial varieties stop growth after a few 40 degree nights. http://www.quicktrading.com/tips16.html

im not really familiar with the weather over there but is a greenhouse an option? you can construct one to your exact size and needs and then cold weather isnt a concern.

Hello westgreen. I'm on top of a mountain in Wales (UK) and the Temp's have been down to 45f already some nights but my 2 girls are still happy in the greenhouse and are still growing quickly ;-) I'm going to go to B&Q for a greenhouse heater though just to be on the safe side(Approx £25 + Fuel). I will say though, Watch out for the Humidity as my greenhouse gets quite damp but that could be down to all the fruit & veg though...
Good Luck and i hope you have as much Fun as i have had ;-)

also can i use bug sprays on buds or will that ruin them ?
I've been using "Provado Ultimate Bug Killer" on my Girls for bugs and so far it has been working Great.. I've got a farm next door and there are LOADS of insects flying around but my greenhouse and Apple Tree next to it are Free from Bugs for the First time in Years. IMGP1027.jpgIMGP1024.jpg My Girls are only just showing their sex so the last spray should keep them going till harvest. I know some sprays Will Kill your buds though....
