What's the most efficient, more quiet Aeroponic system?

I'm a newbie, and have decided to go aeroponic. . .I'm looking at the system at Bountiful Hydroponic. It's a 12 plant set up, 2' x 4' for $300.

Has anyone used this system? Any comments?

Hydrofarm has a system called the megagarden, I think that is for 12 plants. It only costs about $189. I got the smaller 6 plant version the EMSYS. I haven't moved my seedlings into it yet, but ran it with plain water to test noise level and it's pretty quiet. I had to press my ear to the door of my grow closet to hear it.

My tent w/ the hydro unit will be a foot from my bed. I appreciate the feed back and the reviews on the megagarden have all been positive. I will consider it as it is less expensive.

DO you know if it is expandable? I'm starting with five. They are about 4 weeks old, and will need to be put in a system in a week or so. Then I'll be putting in six seedlings, and then another 6 in another month thereafter. The three of us all have our cards so can grow up to 18 plants, which I'll eventually want a set up to accommodate. My friend has an ebb and flow system, which is expandable.

There's so much stuff out there, and so many toys to choose from. Thanks again for your reply.

Guys, u can make ur own for about $40. Get a $25.00 396 gpm pump, a $6.00 rubbermaid roughneck Tote(must be this type, no leaks) some 1/2 PVC pipe, end caps and a drill. I just made an awesome one out of an old xxl cooler, a "CoolCloner" I guess I'll call it

There is a twelve site listed on ebay now starting at $200.00. We have a few systems posted on Ebay. The twelve site we sell is our most popular size and it produces one inch of growth per day under a T-5 8 bulb lighting fixture.
The HS-12 cannot be built cheaply as these are very high quality systems and they are manufactured to be affordable when compared to making your own. I offer a thirty day return to prove this point.
I have sold and shipped these systems as well as four site, six site and eighteen site systems to many customers and have always received good feedback. There are other systems that you can grow 72 plants in, if you want them within inches of each other. That is why I custom build to customers requirments
and also why I designed this system with twelve inches center to center on the netpots.

I dont know much about actual aeroponics But my small Aerogarden Makes verry little noise i actually find the Running water relaxing

Sateevadeeva: you mentioned two systems: hydroponics and aeroponics. Which one do you want to get involved with? I've seen some incredible things done with aeroponics but it was by the folks at NASA and they have a bigger bank account than I do. What do you want to do and how much do you want to spend? You can set up a bubble tub and grow six to eight plants for a couple of hundred dollars, but how much room do you have? How much do you want to grow? And how much so you know about hydroponics? It's really a lot different from sticking a seed in dirt.

If you're interested in hydroponics let me put in a pitch for my favorite system, the Aerogarden. If you're new to growing with hydroponics it might be a good place to start. It's quiet, compact, complete, economical to run and very user friendly. It's ideal if you're only growing for yourself because you can only grow two to three plants. But make sure you buy the right one because they have many models.

If you go with an Aerogarden make sure it's a three lamps model with the 24 inch tall arm/light stand. The newer ones also have programmable light timers that won't require you to have an independent light timer for flowering. It's almost like they were thinking of us when they designed the newer models. I would recommend you consider mounting mirrors or reflectors around it and if you do you'll have buds all the way down to the planting deck. Food for thought anyway.
