Thank youThanks for serving, Welcome Home. I heard alot of Viet Nam vets weren't welcomed home, you know, cause the anti-war movement, and instead were looked down upon...Dunno if this happened to you, but you're a hero for sure...So is anyone who serves and puts their life on the line to help others.
And this is coming from someone who vehemently dispises the military, but I recognize that things would be very different without the men and women who serve in the armed forces.
I had a lot of trouble re-integrating back into life after Viet Nam. I had problems on many levels.
The hardest part about being a Combat Medic was that every time you lost one, you were lookng right into their eyes.
When I got home I would see those faces, every time I closed my eyes
I still have occasional nghtmares about Nam. Wake up in a cold sweat!
peace
