Only money you've physically worked for, not including inheritances or lottery winnings or things like that.

Just curious.

I have ~5k in the bank that I've been saving for college so I'll be in less debt when I come out. Worked for every penny

I have about a grand in silver I keep in a safe at home and I like to keep at least a thousand in my checking account at all times.

I don't have any credit cards, overdrafts or loans.

I bought a small farm when I was 18 with a lease to own agreement and remodeled each room as I could afford it. As the equity grew I used that to buy a few more houses I remodeled and turned into rental properties. After my house and the rental properties were done I started the rendering company I run today. I've been busting my ass for over 12 years solid.

...I watched 10,000 liquidate during the course of my home purchase. Mixed blessing... *nods* But when I sobered up, I bought it anyway  Jokes aside, that's a hard hit for anyone.

I saved 2800 once... then I found a dude that kept a kilo of good coke... I've never saved since... I spend money as soon as I get it. Saving money never made sense to me... I want stuff now, screw later. :D

I had a similar problem. The most I really saved was about $1400, then there was a white Christmas and the next week I had $300 dollars. I lived in Florida.
