What's the most you've yielded off a 600w HPS

How many plants?
What strains?
Style of growing? SoG ScroG?
How long where they vegged for?
Soil or Hydro?
What kinda of containers?
Just curious to see how much people have yielded off a 600w

I run two 600's in a 2.5' x 7' closet. Scrog, Organic & vegged until the screen is 100% occupied.
Generally 10 plants (my limit is 24) but don't usually bother to weigh as I don't sell - but it keeps Mrs. GWN and myself supplied as well as a couple of good friends and a few cancer patients I donate to as well.
Merry Christmas.

man that's a lot of watts per sq.ft. Gotta be some dank! what's that almost 70 watts per sq ft!! I grow with COBs and with that many watts per sq/ft it is guaranteed fire!! One thing though is your post don't help the OP haha.

to the OP, newbie growers with a good setup (which you appear to have, I d strongly recommend going with soil and organic for quality) should yield around .5 gram per watt (of light....) per cycle. so 300 grams, as you get better, good growers will generally reach the 1 gram per watt mark even some claim 2-3 gram per watt per cycle

I've pushed over 2.2 GPW a couple of times, but then I tend to experiment with lots of strains.
Cloning the same girl year after year gets monotonous so I like fem seed shopping for variety..

.5 gpw with 600s means you definately have room to improve. 1gpw is doing great. Usually a pound a light for 600s is kinda the sweet spot. Good luck.

That's what I was thinking. Should be able to pull at little over a lb without a lot of effort. A good bulb helps. I noticed a big difference after switching from el-cheapo to Hortilux enhanced spectrum HPS.

The more I grow, the more I like organic soil. It's just easy.
Right now I'm running a custom no cook mix made from garage leftovers -- and my plants are totally digging it.

yeah it's so easy, no PHing, no nothing, whatever happens happens, and for the most part, with good genetics, it's always fire. Ive been doing water only and soil re-cycling for years, some of the soil in my mix is the same soil from 6 years ago when I first started. I have tried compost teas, I have tried .. all kinds of stuff. Once in a while I ll have some liquid organic fertilizer on hand I might use here and there but for the most part, like 99.5% of the time, it's straight tap water. My favorite, when a plant at week 0-3 of flower looks like she gonna be a monster, is to topdress with a mix of my ''supersoil'' with a bunch of worms and a bunch of vermicompost, water it in and watch it take off.

Disregarding my first couple grows as a learning curve, over 4 harvests, I'm now getting 1+, strain dependant, off a 600 in a 4x4. 2-3 week veg from clone. I've done multi 5 gal dwcs, 2 giant dwc, 12 site aero rails. Always about the same. Best so far was just under 1.25. Vanilla kush mother plant scrogged on a 3x3 net in a 27 gal tote.

I'm going to 1000s and sealing up for CO2. Looking to push 1.5.

My first harvest was 1/2# off 24 rooted clones in aero under 600 in a 4x4... I've since got my shit together.

I can relate. My first harvest was pathetic -- and it hermed too!

While I applaud you for your good efforts this post is basically useless without a number or at least a guess on how much you produce.

It's all there.

Ever use biochar? I'm trying it for the first time.
This mix is a total mutt:
3 bags cheap potting soils
2 bags special kitty (clay)
2 bags worm castings
1 bucket biochar
2 scoops organic nutes (Epsoma "starter" blend)
1 scoop oyster shell

Didn't read that deep but if you don't weight your crop how can you possibly know your pushing 2.2GPW? Am I missing something here?

Also OP these numbers can be drastically different between vertical and horizontal grows. I'm assuming you are referring to a horizontal grow? Also no one has mentioned larf % numbers. That one always conviently gets left out.
