Whats the point of dense nugs?

and you throw one big nug into your bowl without breaking it up because? and as for hemp wicks id rather stick with a bic lighter. i cant taste butane over what i smoke anyway so its all good.

If its a cash crop then dense is what you want.... a real connoisseur will appreciate all aspects of the beautiful cannabis plant. However, personal preference is the gauge here. I love sticky gooey stank buds, some like crunchy, odor-less, ugly ass buds...

in all my years of smokeing the dense buds have sseemed to be dank and the fluffy ones not so dank

Weight and density are relative comparisons of the same thing - mass. One to gravity and the other volume. Your buds weigh the same, they only got smaller, and since the material is heavier if you're packing the same size bowl you're only smoking more. So unless you've been harvesting your plants on the moon then bringing them back to earth, they'll always weigh the same.

So he was right, one smokes up quick, and the other might last. Of course it really boils down to potency. How much of that mass is psychoactive? Since resin is denser than plant material, and we know psychoactive components are primarily found in resin, denser bud should be more potent. A true connoiseur would know this, but he'd also know it doesn't always hold true.
