Many years ago when I was a cub, I used to work in a place that used to make and repair motorcycle exhausts....
For those of you that know your bikes, the old Yamaha R1's used to have a Titanium header pipe going into the muffler....?
One was totally fooked one day and I looked the the bend and diameter and thought "Yeah, I could make a bong out of that!"
Cut it, rolled the top in for the mouth, used light gauge SS tube for the stem and made a bottom cap out of SS too! (cause you cant weld titanium to anything)
People would come over and I would tell them I had a Titanium bong and they would call bullshit! Id show them and they would spin out! hahahahhaa
Id always say "This is what Astronauts use in space!"
Maddest bong, but sadly gave to a good friend

Never a flute or potato though...
I was at work when I tore my last zig zag, so I found a metal reducer fitting. I stuck a couple staples in the middle so the weed wouldnt pull through when I took a hit. It soon became my "work pipe"

uhmmm lets see...
-a huge home made bong made from those huge soda-pop bottle pigg banks... took like 3 or 4 big ass breaths just to fill it with enough smoke.
-a gas mask. kinda common though
-my friend once smoked a joint rolled with the paper from a cigarette filter. we didnt have any papers and no cigarettes so we found a butt in my car and took the filter out and rolled a tiny joint with that nasty paper. gave him a headache and a horrible high.
-light bulb. again kinda common

i like your "work pipe"... my friend and i had a similar one.... we worked together doing roofing, and our boss wasnt cool with smoking so we had to toke when he wasnt around... found ourselves without a utensil, and started digging around in the trailer... found that a male compressor hose fitting makes a decent little pipe
