What's to truth about Ona Gel?

I have 2 flower rooms going right now, but only have a carbon filter on one. I can't afford another filter right now, so I got some Ona gel. Man OH Mighty!!! This stuff stinks!!!!!!

Since I bought the Ona, I read that the smell might permeate the plants and have an adverse affect on taste and smell. Is this true?

Does this stuff work?

Ona is not made to be in the grow room.... anything that strong can have adverse effects on the taste of the plant...

put it outside of the grow room, near the exhaust so the air gets neutralized close to the source

they say that it can.... i don't think so. when I use it i never saw that.. in that case having a lavender or basil plant or another strain would cause flavor and smell to change which isn't the case. Unless some how the ona manipulates the genetic structure of the plant...

Thanks friends,

I put outside the room, near the exhaust. Damn, something in that Ona gel reminds me of my grandma's house 40 years ago!!!

no doesn't matter... They both last about a month at most.. You are better off with a filter and fan but what ever works in the mean time.. personally i would just put a bunch of plants that stink pretty good... lavender, basil, rosemary, peppermint, chocolate mint, lilacs, honeysuckle, valerian, sweet woodruf, gardenias, etccc.. and plants to filter air, like succulents, money tree, any dracaena, rubber plant, etc...

Wait, what?

Someone posted a thread about Gonzo Odor Eliminator and was very happy with it. For $7 it may be a good investment

When the jar of gel dries out (not completely just down to 1/4) then you can fill it up with water and use it over and over. A quart of Ona doesn't really fully work for a m2 grow but it does help, still some lingering smell. I don't think a bigger jar would have helped either. My buds were ok didn't retain the smell.

When the ona dries out, i recharge with the ona liquid. I still use ona when trimming and what not, but don't depend on it anymore for the grow. Charcoal filters really changed the game when they hit the market. Before, it was ozone gen's and ona everywhere, and buckets with pinesol. Sketchy it was.
Oh yeah, we used it in the growroom also back then, cause we felt we had to. I don't think it hurt anything, but i don't recomend doing that.

Oh yea, that reminds me I used water and it didn't work too well. I recharge with the Ona liquid too. I agree use it outside the grow area
