True story; my old landlord in Arkansas was a guy named Charlie Ya Lin Trie. I knew he was connected, but after I left the state (I was growing the whole time) I heard about his indictment- for funneling money from the Communist Chinese to the fucking Democratic National Committee! Surely some of that money helped elect Mr. Bill, the Clinton.

This is absolutely destructive to any idea of democracy.

Well your first problem is that you had a landlord. I can't relate. I've never paid someone else to live somewhere. [Notwithstanding mortgage]
