Whats up with these leaves??

Hey there =)

Can anyone tell me why these leaves are starting to point down? The plants are both very strong and springy, but the leaves are doing that. Is it a deficiency OR lighting problem? They are under 1x100W CFL and a 60W CFL, got CO2 (sugar and yeast in a bottle) and constant air movement. Temp is always at 69-77 degrees, humidity is low (about 35%). They are what I have salvaged from a BAD thrip infestation (lack of chlorophyll in spots). They were topped and put the tops in root tone with fungicide, and have been doing well for about a week and a half now...lots of new growth. Light is on 24 hours.

So, what should I do if anything at all? :leaf:

Its definitely not nute burn. I think it may be a Nitrogen deficiency... but I'm not sure enough to put money on that. Either way, its some type of deficiency. That means its not getting enough of something. Maybe you should check the PH of your water and the PH of the soil. It may be PH lockout. Or maybe you just need to feed em.

Im not 100% sure about co2 as I have never really used. But from what I have heard supllementing a seedling with co2 may not be the best idea??? MIght wanna look into it further...

I'll check my bible! haha. I would say the leaves are drooping from not having enough oxygen in the soil. How well does your pot drain. I would flush it with a mild nutrient solution at a quarter strength. I'm no expert though but I do have sixteen lovely ladies in my master bedroom that love me! No room in me for in there I sleep on the couch. I hope your plant bounces back. I've already corrected a couple of nute deficiencies and everything looks good. A good flush goes a long way. Oh and also be sure to flush with three times as much water as to growing medium!:clap:

looks like some kind of deficiency, in the past ive used sensical and it worked fine

I forgot to tell you about your leaves. I'm too stoned! I'll check my bible again, Jorge Cervantes' Marijuana Horticulture the indoor/outdoor Medical Grower's Bible. One second please. HAHA! From what I can see in your pics it looks like a zinc deficiency.:sad: But it could be something else. In this book it says a lot of things can be treated with a good flush, but you need the right nutes. Be sure to use a nutrient with all the trace elements.:!:

I investigated...no, they have not rooted...crap!

How should I stimulate root growth faster? I took them out and placed in glass of PHd water with not even a half a drop of superthrive, and the stems got a little root tone on them. Don't know if that was the best to do, but they seemed to be unresponsive in the soil.

Good news though! My seeds sprouted! Yay! Hopefully better luck with them =)

Well, the whitening of the leaves was BEFORE I transplanted with the root tone. The thrips sucked all the chlorophyll out of the leaves, so there isnt a def problem at the moment that is causing the color change. That is simply what I managed to save from the plant. The new growth emerging from that one plant in particular is very green =)

I just needed to know why the leaves were pointing down, and if THAT is caused from a def. But after it being pointed out to me if they had rooted or not, makes sense why they aren't nice and flat.

So, is there a nute problem that I should be aware of that causes the leaves to point downward? :leaf:
