0719131602f.jpg Week 4 from planting, this is very deformed looking.
0719131602e.jpg Another angle of the seedling.
0719131603a.jpg The other seed planted nicely, and is looking ok it needs some stem enforcement.

Any suggestions on the deformed seedling?

That soil looks way wetter then it should, unless you had just watered before the picture.?
Always let soil get dry before you water, a plant with roots that are always wet wont grow.
It needs to dry out so the roots search out water and food and in the process create a nice big root ball.
Big root ball=Big plants=Big buds=Big smiles
Roots that are always wet say to hell with it im getting all the food and water I need right here why move!
This can result in small underdeveloped plants with lots of issues like deformed leaves, root rot......

We need a bit more info to help, as the others have said its way behind where it should be in size.
The leaf deformity is not the thing to be concerned over lets figure out why they are so small.
I'm sure once we figure that out the leaf deformity will go away in no time.

Your growth is a little slow, biggest newbie mistake is over watering it seriously stunts growth, especially when they are little like that and are in a critical period of development. I lost about 2 weeks worth of growth with mine in the beginning, it sucks. Don't be afraid to leave them alone and let that soil get DRY as all hell. Even if you have 6 inches deep of dirt and the top 3 inches are dry, there's still enough moisture down there to keep the plant from dying. The best advice I got was to check by weight: whenever you water, lift and feel how heavy the pot is. When its gotten significantly lighter, about 50% or so then water it again. With those little cups you are using (the biodegradable ones are what it looks like) you probably could water something that small once a day, or every 36 hours.

But yeah, for some reason your plant isn't producing the sugars that it needs to start exploding. That means that you probably have a problem with air or light, who knows. Some details would really help. In hydro growth can be stunted by pH being off, BC the plant can't uptake its nutrients and produce its food. That problem is a lot more rare in soil so I doubt that's what's going on.

BTW, just stick a toothpick Diagonal down in the dirt at the base of the stem to prop the plant up. But you really wanna get some fans blowing on those plants BC the movement that it gives them tears their little plant tissues and makes them stronger, sturdier, and able to hold more weight, which winds up equaling more bud

Good look bro just keep on growing. Study up and keep tweaking your setup, you'll get it dialed in and you'll absolutely love it when you do. If it was Those plants would be at least 6-8 inches already, and if you started from clones they would be ready to go into flower

I'm sorry for not posting on my setup, I don't have any room for vegging so I am growing under 12/12 light while my other plant is flowering. I did just water them and I also added more soil up the stem to give it more stability. I'm using 2 fans mounted on the wall but my light fixture Ive made is higher for my flowering plant, so the seedlings get a little air movement but most likely way less then they should. I think the biggest mistake of all was planting them in those stupid biodegradable planting cups. I'm watering them every 3-4 days and they are dry to the bone, not sure but I think the planting cups are sucking all the moisture out of the soil much to fast for them to get enough. Ive done some research on 12/12 from seed and I know its possible, now if I can get it to start going lol. I have more then enough light on them, I think just 12/12 light makes growth way slower. Btw I'm using CFL's, 2 on my seedlings 2 -3 inches above them with proper ventilation and 6 cfls on my flowering plant. Then again I'm new to this and in time I will get it down just not yet. Thus I am here taking in information that all of you have already been through or have heard about. Either way I am sorry for not giving more info on this post. Thank you all very much, so much knowledge with so little info. If you want to see my setup I can post pics up, not to much cash so its kinda rinkydink, I'm sure you all have seen worse though :P.

One more thin the seedlings are under daylight cfl's and the flowering momma is under warm cfl's. They are not inter-fearing with each other just with my fans I may move them up the wall.

The deformity you are asking about is commonly found amongst seedlings , sometimes they will outgrow this retardation and other times they will not . Most growers cull them upon recognition but then again some old school growers will keep them as often they can be a treasure potency wise if they revert and grow normal .

I don't know much, but I know that's definitely stunted. I'm screwing up every step of the way and here's my gals at 4weeks. 7.19.4pmPlant1.jpg7.19.4pmPlant2.jpg

I couldnt help but laugh at your first picture... sorry... but i feel so bad for it... lol also thanx for posting this, learning from it! GLUCK!!!!

Hah, yeah I got a duck footed whited widow seed pop, it started out opening up with only the two cotyledons and one pointy leaf. People told me the same thing, to give it a week and either it would grow or it would just do shitty.

Its leaves developed weird, and it had uneven numbers of leafs/fingers on leafs/ branches at the node (first node 1 branch, 2nd node 3 branches, 3 node 2 branches, etc).

The plant wound up topping itself naturally. Its really small, BC I topped it so many times but when it gets that root structure developed its gonna explode with like 12 tops.

Hope the potency thing is true, too. At first I was a little pissed BC white widow is a strain I wanted to clone and keep, but this one had the weird genetics. Now I'm hoping they call top themselves that young

I had a plant like yours (pic 1, the one in rock-wool).....it was so slow and had very tiny leaves.....then it developed an abnormal growth that was disgusting (pic 3), starting calling it the "mutant"....then after a couple of months it matured into a male....what a waste of effort, but shit happens
