What's With This Crippy

It's not a myth I also smoked some "crippy" when I lived in Ft.Lauderdale in the early 2000's.My cousin knew a guy who knew a guy that was growing it, we would pay $380 p/oz.It really was a two-hitter quitter......cause you can't take just one hit.We braved through a whole joint together......I didn't remember how I got home.....then couldn't fall asleep till like 4a.m..Someone out there has some.

Wait now this is interesting one kid said something about a 92' florida crippie cut verified by cypress hill or some shit like that and was one if not the first og. Also some other info claiming as well that it was the first og and originated in Hawaii and brought to florida which they named crippy. So crippy seems to be the original og. Shit if '91 chem was supposedly the mom of of then it can be possible that og kush is ('92 florida crippy x '91 chem) and shit the dates are even close together, very possible but know I'm just fantasizing but the other shit with the Hawaii story seems right to me.

Well I can tell you for sure that the first OG (If you are referring to OG Kush) is from Cali, not Hawaii. It was bred in LA and the OG stands for Ocean Grown (Yes I know Hawaii has oceans, but its true). I don't know if it used to mean something different but I asked SOIK who lives in southern florida and they said Crippy is just slang for good weed, like Chronic. Strains have since been named Chronic, so its very possible that strains have been named Crippy, but there are no reputable genetics out there so I would be inclined to believe that it is just a pre-internet era myth.
