if wax is 25% and bud is 15%, how on earth does wax hit 10x's harder than a joint??wax. is cleaner. but the thc is what 25 %. average and the doobie is not filtered out lots of smoke to put into your lungs with a thc average of 12 to 15 % medium quality. so it your trying to stay health. would not smoke both. buttttt I would say the wax would be better for you achieving the stronger faster high. but the thc will be hitting your system 10 times as fast. so that's the trade off. does thc cause harm . yes. but not used once in a wile like drinking a beer from time to time. if used every day any thing will fuck you up.
hey twitch, i'm going to try my first batch of bho this season. i don't have a vacuum pump -- just thinking of purging slowly with low heat on a pirex dish and whipping. hoping to get decent quality wax that i can use in my pen vape.how under purged are we talking? i have seen dabs catch on fire or explode in peoples faces.
i do not agree with this last part, i bet it will still muffin if you were to sracpe that up and vacpurge itHey Homer! LTNS bro! So, you're gonna make some wax for the first time? NICE! I've been playing with BHO for a few years now...GREAT STUFF! I lopve that when "smoked" properly, you're vaping, and not combusting! Man, I feel like we should catch up, but I don't wanna stray from the topic. When they talk about "winterizing", I believe they mean(and correct me if I'm wrong, guys) after you wash the bud or trim with butane, and evaporate most of the butane off outside away from all sources of flame or ignition, then you take the resulting BHO and dissolve it in everclear, 95+% grain alcohol, or 99% ISO, then I believe you place that in the freezer or let it cool and filter out the plant waxes by straining the solution through a coffee filter. yes
But I find that if you blast your butane into a rectangular butane dish, and then boil off the butane over a water bath(away from flame, naturally), and then you can just let it sit in a hot water bath for hours, or over an electric skillet/griddle set to like 110*, but that takes a little more monitoring. As long as you don't scrape it into a pile, and leave the BHO as a thin film spread evenly across the surface of the pyrex, I feel that a few lengthy water bath purges can produce fully or nearly fully purged wax, since this is how I did it before I started vacuum purging. Anyway, glad to see you're still around! PM me sometime, I'd love to hear from you!
yo yo, whats up in metaland brother? things are nice in homerville. thanks for the suggestions... do you think it's worth getting a vac purge and just doing it right? do you notice much difference (strength, effect on lungs, etc) between the stuff you were smoking before you started vacuum purging and now?Hey Homer! yeah, you're probably right twitch, i'm just trying to avoid buying the vac purge equipment and still get a good (and relatively safe) wax.i do not agree with this last part, i bet it will still muffin if you were to sracpe that up and vacpurge it
Pretty sure both are equally harmless. A joint is unlikely to contribute to the risk of lung disease, and even directly inhaling 0.25g of butane would not do much besides choke you.1) smoking a 1-gram joint?
2) smoking .25 gram of wax that was not well purged?
Hey homie! Haha...By "lengthy" water purge, I meant several hours, maybe 24+...I used to just keep changing the water under the dish when it would go cold, since I didn't wanna keep it on a double boiler. But we should find you access to a vacuum chamber somehow...lol...any idea on when you were planning to begin this venture?Hey cheefbird, yeah I'm planning to do a slow heat purge, with a thin layer of bho on a pyrex dish all in a hot water bat (like metasynth said), for an hour or two. Just no vac. Thanks
