Ditch the UVA light and get some cfls (or a HID, if you are really serious about growing). Also, DO NOT USE 12/12 LIGHTING UNTIL YOU ARE READY TO FLOWER YOUR PLANT, and when you do this, stick to the 12/12 schedule until harvest time.

Read the growFAQ at the top of the page, as you really seem to have no clue what you are doing (no offense).

I can't tell but if they are lanky then its lack of the right lights. Since you are vegetating, see if you can get a MHS light. But anything is better than UVA (except for incandescent). Good luck.

It is quite simple. If you do not have the right type of light, they just will not grow very fast. The spiral light that you have is probably a cfl. Do you know what kind it is? Cool white, daylight, warm white, etc. For vegetative growth, you want a bulb in the 6500 K color range, which is a daylight bulb. Now the brighter (watts) the bulbs, the better off you are. While your uva light might keep them alive, it is probably wasting a lot of energy producing the wrong kind of light than what the plant needs. As for your spiral light, it might be too low a wattage and the wrong color to be much good. It seems to me, you have two options; Get more light or plant your plant outside.

you also want to put the light as close to the plant as possible without burning it... it looks like you have some stretching there, that's usually a side effect of having the light to far away.
Some degree of air flow is a must too.

I haven't seen what a weak marijuana plant looks like, until now, and I'm sorry.

Needless to say, CFL's have been proven to work great and are kinda cheap...

You need, at the least, that.

Hurry, you're running out of time!

A bright white bulb is in the 5000K color range and should work well. As for listing, you can do that at anytime although I would wait a little to make sure your little guy has decent roots and stock. The stock on that looks so skinny that it would fall over by itself if you blew on it. Put a little fan on it or something to get it to strengthen its stalk if you can. Just a slight breeze where it is moving a little will strengthen it up. Also move the light right on top of it so it stops stretching. If I am listing, I usually do it when multiple shoots come up from my FIM. You will notice that some shoots will grow faster than others as well as the main growth. I start tying it and pulling it to the side to get the top canopy at the same height. As each shoot grows, I will adjust it to keep everything even on top, which can be easier said than done if you have a pile of plants.

Here is a pic of a plant where I pulled the three main shoots back to try to keep them even. Although the smaller ones in the center of the pic never grew, fast enough to keep up with the other three. The three main colas grew nice and developed long big buds and it opening it up and allowed the two lower buds to develop nicely also. Anyway that’s how I like to list it to open it up.
