What’s Wrong With my Plants

Hey, I’ve just transplanted 4 plants from solo cups to their 2 Gallon Air Pots. I have them running on 600w MH lights right now, hung at about 24” from plant tops at 100% lumens. These plants 2 weeks exactly from sprout. I’ve noticed two of them have some slight lime green to yellow on the inside and the other two (Ive noticed even before transplant) have some of their leaf blades curled upwards.

Is this cause of the light being too hot (I’ve moved it up from 18” to 24” and the whole leaves aren’t coneing) Or from a nitrogen diffenciancy? I water at a 6-6.5PH but the run off (Using Happy Frog cut with Perlite 2/1) is about 4-4.5.

If this is because of PH what can I do to adjust for my soil changing the PH. If not, just what can I do to fix this all.

Slight nute burn avoid a few feeds this early perhaps a flush if it don't clear with ph'ed air temp water

do at days end so ready to continue in the morning

I get that exact type of leaf curl when my RH gets too low as @vostok said. Has to do with tranpiration. What is the average humidity inside your grow space?

That’s what I was thinking too, I’m having a hard time even keeping the Humidity at 40. I linger between 35-40. Sometimes I spray the walls, sometimes leave trays of water inside but this doesn’t seem to make much of a change. Any suggestions for raising humidity?

I haven’t actually used any nutes at all... I’ve only been watering with distilled water. I’m watering at a PH of about 6-6.5 but my run off is coming in at about 4ish.... I’m not quite sure how to fix this

there you go

why are you using distilled water? its leeching the nutrients and pH buffer out of your soil and causing your pH to drop. water them with tap water and all your problems will go away. don't worry about pH too much, don't even check your runoff. HF has lime in it to control pH. tap water + happy frog = happy plant.

edit: can't change humidity in an open system unless you change the humidity of your whole house/lung room and slow down your air exchange. spraying the walls with a fine mist and slowing your exhaust is all you can do.

Well fuckin eh.... Damn thanks man Im going to start doing this from my next water onwards. I for some reason thought distilled would be healthier cause it had no dissolved bits in it, but I suppose not.

Any suggestions for raising humidity? I sit at about 35-40 tops. Having real problems raising it about 40

your logic is right, but most peoples tap water has good stuff in it. if you can get a water report from your water company we could tell you more. but my guess is your tap water is perfectly safe to use.

its hard. if youre exhausting your air to the outside and its dry where you live, the misting the walls and slowing your exhaust is all you can do. you could try a humidifier but keep in mind that if your exhaust is constantly blowing the air out of the tent, how will you make a dent unless you treat ALL the air in your house?

however, as long as its not too hot 40% humidity will be okay. cannabis is a strong plant!

Fix what? Those seedlings look fine. Let them grow. Runoff from soil is not an accurate way to measure pH. And if you're using Happy Frog just let the plants grow. Just give them plain water and stop checking the runoff pH. Messing with them trying to correct an issue that doesn't exist is only going to harm your plants. Happy frog has plenty of nutrients in it to keep those plants happy for awhile.

And your humidity is fine for now. Don't chase it. If you're at 70% towards the end of flower then you'll need to do something. My humidity is hovering around 37% and the plants are fine.

Ingredients: Composted forest humus, sphagnum peat moss, perlite, earthworm castings, bat guano, humic acid (derived from Leonardite), oyster shell and dolomite lime (for pH adjustment).

Oh ok I might just be worrying too much. I’ll switch from Distilled to Tap water and try to raise my humidity a tad and I feel that should make things fine.

You are worrying too much. You're doing fine. You are already way ahead of half the people on this site just by getting your seeds to grow. Those seedlings will be just fine if you leave them alone in that Happy Frog.

Cheers! Appreciate the advice and support! Imma just let nature do it’s thing and only adjust if there’s actual strong visible signs of something being wrong.

I think they be hungry here is mine at 9 days from seed ---->( mixed strains ).
the run is very low on ph level if that is soil ...try 6.3 to 6.7 for feed at 72 degrees

I don't use tap water because the area i live in uses chloromine instead of regular chlorine and you can't get rid of that shit by just letting it sit out like you can with chlorine. Also, even if you ignore the chloromine, my tap water is nasty.
I personally use RO and a bit mineral addative to get it where i want it.

I was just about to ask if being in the 30’s for RH was a problem.

Plants look ok. I’d say look up the correct lumen chart for 600wt and go the half way distance. 24” seems a bit low for seedlings. The light green is new growth. It’ll darken as it grows. Best advice I can give you is water them and leave them alone. Fuckin with them will just stress them and slow growth rates. As far as humidity goes, go to Walmart and get a $25 humidifier in the pharmacy section. Low humidity will cause the leaves to be real dry and crispy it’ll also slow plant growth as well as too high or too low temperatures. 37% isn’t too low but it’s on the lower side of where you wanna be for optimal growth imo. As far as nuets you’ll have enough in the soil already like others have stated for at least 5-6weeks if not more depending on if you transplant to a bigger pot.
