Whats wrong with this BUD?

OK so this is a Bubblegum grown by a buddy of mine for 9 weeks. It's grown under 2X400w hps, in cocoa coir, watered every other day or less. Temps kept around 80 day and 70 at night, plenty of air flow, co2, not too heavy on the nutes (floranova). However, having an issue keeping the humidity down. Not sure if that's the cause or something else all together. Potency is phenominal just a really odd shape to some of the buds especially the colas. Some even produce more down low than on top. Has anyone seen this before and/or know what causes it?

pics not very good or that bud is really strange, nine weeks under 800 w of hps should provide much much larger consistent buds

Hey there wow never seen anything like this before lol was this by any chance a vertical grow was it? Its just the bud looks like it has grown sideways ive grown bubble gum in the past and never had buds such as these lol i wouldnt think the humidity could cause this effect on the buds but as long as it smokes well who cares eyy lol

lol, no thats not a bad pic... that's the alien bud. I was thinking the same about the lights and they're in 3 - 5 gal pots.vegged for 21 days out of a bubble cloner with good root systems before hitting the soil.

looks fine to me and the only problem is that its over there and not here.
looks like it may have been left in flower too long, your calyxs seem dripping with resin.

Why did you cut off all the leaves? without the leaves the bud wont increase size because its not getting as much energy.

Yeah sometimes fox tailing is a symptom of overripe buds. I've also grown plants that fox tailed and weren't even ripe yet. It's a mystery I haven't solved yet. I'm with Jesus. Harvest now.

Is it a recessive gene or something? I've grown multiple plants of the same strain and only a couple fox tailed. That tells me it's not completely cultural but genetic. Still smoked well. Just a lighter, fluffier bud.

I don't know the specifics, sorry.

Yea, this was a harvested bud. I'm thinking heat stress is probably right but the temps have been pretty consistent. No chance it's stressing from high humidity? The humid climate doesn't seem to effect them in any other way. Thanks again everyone!
