I want to start growing my own. Been reading up on how to get started, but I don't know exactly what the essentials are.
I need my first try to be as cheap as possible really, since it's a learning curve and I'll probably make some mistakes along the way.

So what kind of equipment do i need? What kind of soil, lights, nutrients, pots, fans etc.
Do I need a PH meter? What kind of strains are recommended for beginners?

Feel free to post pics of oyur stealth cabinets and what not.
Any answers/pictures are great! I fux widdit:hump:

Just do a search. We all have different rooms. 15 years ago I had a closet grow. 5 years ago I had a large tent. Now I have I 1700 Squar foot CGE room. We are hear to answer your questions. But not here to tell you what to do. You have Internet so use it. Sorry if this sounds harsh but getting bored of people asking the same shit from last week.

depends... do you NEED a cooltube if not it probably wouldnt help much just more shit they sell for you to buy
Thanks man, I really don't know actually. Trying to map out what kind of equipment I'll need, and how much it'll cost.
Seems like I gotta spend like 700$ for a tent, filter, timer, reflector and bulbs (CFL 2700K and CFL 6500K). And that's not counting a digital ballast remote...
I know it might sound crazy to spend that much for a first time grower, but I'm trying to keep it as foolproof as possible over here.

This is getting outta hand:roll:

Whats your limit? How many plants are you looking to grow? how big of a space do you got?
The tent I'm currently looking at is 80x80x120cm, and I'll be trying to spend less than 1500$ in total. That includes everything. EVERYTHING

Considering the low height of the tent, and it being under 1x1m, maybe 3-4 lowryders or something at once..

Thanks.

i think you can spend less then 600 bucks and get a decent system that will work for 3-4 plants. want me to link away?

Wow those prices are great! Will definitely be taking a closer look at that little fan (seems you could easily apply 2-3 of those), the flex duct, and the carbon scrubber (super cheap!):D

Thanks man!

i think buying a 1000w would be overkill unless your going to do 20 plants or so. i think that walmart fan would work but if not you could get http://www.amazon.com/Lasko-6-Inch-2-SPEED-White-Clip/dp/B000QOMZT4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1326084338&sr=8-1

you said you were wanting 2-4 plants. what i listed above is enough. and the booster fan goes on the other side of the light to push the air through from the carbon filter over across the light etc.. you need to study more about this stuff.

EDIT- sorry hookd, i thought you said the above post my bad.

Would there be a point in applying more than one fan to reduce chances of mold?

Also, I think I might go for 250W since the tent i have in sight is quite small...

I'll certainly be doing ALOT more studying before spending a single penny:)

the carbon scrubber goes inside your tent and sucks all the air out. so it will prevent that from happening. you would need some sort of intake though to suck air into the tent.
