Whats your guys opinion on topping, fimming, scrog?

Im growing some plants for the first time (been researching for years) and was wondering if I should top, fim, or scrog them.
I could do each of them different, you no try out all three methods. But I was wondering if there was a certain one that would increase the yeild more than the other?
Or if you peeps think I should just not use any but I have my mind wrapped around doing these methods because I think they would increase the yeild
Any help would be awesomeee

I top them at about two weeks veg, then suppercrop the new tops after they are well formed. Works well for me and I get a nice short and wide canopy.

is suppercropping when you top them again or is it when u bend the branches down with string. And do you think it increases the yeild (might be dumb question lol)

i was thinking that to, fimming produces more bud sites from an increase of branches rather than just 2 new main colas like topping right?

on your first grow I would sit down and clearly list your particular setups assets, and flaws, then decide which particular method of growing is best for you. If this only took a month I feel like I would always recommend people do their first grow untopped, so they can watch marijuana go through the growth phases from seed to harvest unhindered, and then use that newfound experience in applying it to the second grow and beyond.

ask yourself:

how much space do I have
what medium do I plan to grow in
how many plants do I want to grow
how am I going to provide enough light for that space given my plant count
how am I going to control enviromental factors of the grow area once I've added plants, growth medium, and hot ass lightbulbs of various types

This will help you figure out what you need to do to your plants to "dial them in " for your needs.

I personally am trying out Nugbucket's "Mainlining" tech ( https://www.rollitup.org/subcools-old-school-organics/517798-main-lining-ace-spades-tutoral-8.html#post7284421)

Heres a pic of some bag seed (blue dream) early on in the topping and training period, and a pic of it later after transplant next to another variety I allowed to go untopped (Cali connection Blackwater, same age). I'll try and stop by again and post a pic of it now as its been quite some time. looking very nice though.

yes with fiming u cut off 80% of the teminal node and u get many tops. with topping u only get 2 new main tops, i find fiming work better with clones. suppercropping in pinching the stems till they "pop" and it grow a thick knot in that spot

growing from seed or clone? Outdoors, you might as well just let them rip, unless you're worried about 10 foot plants (which many of us are). I always felt topping was more of an indoor thing because you could control the light cycle. A plant topped outdoors is still on the same course as the one untopped. If you are continously training during the vital veg months, you might not have enough raw canopy to yeild big (like the untopped plant definitly will have). That being said, nugbuckets is trying his tech outdoors as well, shooting for 16 even top colas on each plant.

thanks for the response guys! i finally got all the techniques down (probably not lol) but when u top u cut the main stem and it produces 2 main colas if topped once.
When u lst thats when u tie the branches down, when you fim that wen you cut that little part of the plant and it gives u many tops, supercropping is when u bend the branches gently making a canopy??..Has anyone ever tried more than one method on one plant or is that causing to much stress? Like has anyone topped a young plant, then fim both the new branches then tied them down to give them the sunlight needed? And there all from seeds sine and yes i am a little worried about the size of the plants (veritcally) lol and so your saying if i topped a plant outdoors it wouldnt do much help, yeild wise? and yes i saw his thread, thanks for the link!

coming from the confidence of your answer, i will take your word on supercropping a couple of plants.
I will supercrop them exactly the way its suppose to be done so if anything happens the blame is on you! lol

suppercropping is snapping the stems basically, but making the plant repair itself. look it up, its hard for me to explain

indeed! and ya i think i no wat supercropping is, you bend the branches gently until it folds over then u fold over to the other side, but you cant let the plant matter touch each other at where u bend it at?

thats not how i do it. i pinch the stem till it snaps(but trying not to split the steam, this will make a knot grow in the spot u pinched.
