Whats your thoughts on my drying racks lol

I made this in about an hr, I had some stainless TIG wire laying around and some mesh netting as well. So I whipped this up because I think it will be better then hang drying in a few small boxes. I cant hang the whole plant like I would like to unfortunately. So what are your thoughts on this? Can I just chop the buds at their main stem and lay them on the racks? Also I will be wrapping the entire racks with mesh netting to try and keep any unwanted pest away. I made it so it can stand off a flat surface as well in case I cant hang it in the place I would like to. I don't know it might be to damn crude lol.

If you are only talking about a plant or two for your personal consumption, why not hang the plant whole (where it continues to live for a few days after you cut it) and get a fan moving air around and leave it alone in the dark for about 2 weeks..

It will be the best tasting, best smelling you ever had.. it cures right on the plant.. cut it and be done.

----

That said, nothing crude about your racks.. they will work.. keep air flowing.. no need for netting unless you live in some unusually pest infested area.. keep the air moving, but not direct.. try not to rush it.. which takes me back to if you want the best, hang and dry and cure all in one and chop up after.

Just thoughts.. peace~!

From what I've read, you get a more greeny taste if you do this correct? Because of all the leaves as to if you cut it and trimmed it before drying? Sorry if this is wrong, just curious!

Nooooooo the most smooth, best tasting, best smelling grass possible is what you get...

When you do it just once and see how those leaves perfectly sit over the buds protecting them and keeping them from drying out on the outsides too quick, you realize it is as if God/nature made them that way by design.

Honest. If ou haven't done it, you owe it to yourself to do it.

One reason is the plant still lives (and to a degree) is using resources and drying and curing at the same time. If you were 'good' you could possibly even take a clone from the plant 2-3 days later and be successful.. When you chop it up you not only are smooshing up trichomes all over the place, you stop it's ability to go into a suspended animation and finish what it lived all this time to do.. You'll see if you haven't already.. it is magic.. pure magic.. If not, you can't say you didn't try.

Peace~!

Nice...Don't forget to put a tray or some paper under the bottom rack.

Thanks i cant hang the entire plant like i had intended which kinda sucks. I also didnt want to spend 40 bucks on something i could make. My back was hurting me so much and i ran out of meds so i tried to keep occupied :) Also at this point she is days or hours away from being ready, being a newbie i dropped the ball on numerous things like not preparing for harvest lol. All in all i think i will at least get 1 or 2 oz of of her under cfls. I dont think thats to bad. :) Ty guys for your input it helps out a ton. I wasnt sure if i should wrap it with netting, but i figured better to be safe then sorry. Better to have it and not need it then need it and not have it.

Ill give you an A + that looks like it would work fine. I am thinking about buying one of the netted ones I have heard you will flatten one side of the bud by laying them on the racks. Who gives a shit though you are going to smoke it to get high. Don't get me wrong I know presentation is important to some and I admit I like looking at buds but one side being flattened some is not going to be a big deal for me.

Thanks, I figured that they would be affected laying on one side but there is a easy fix im sure :) like flip them once a day, that would prob keep them sorta even.
