What's your time worth?

I averaged $48 an hr. as a union steelworker who had the highest paying job there because it involved high speed production, brains and experience.

That included production incentives, forced overtime, forced working holidays, forced stupid meetings, forced no breaks or lunch (although I found many ways to get around that-something always needs maintenance).
Time and a half for over 40 hrs./wk or 8 hrs./day. So there were no weekends off until you rotated into them, no holidays off unless it was a scheduled day off, etc.

And you had to breathe fumes, dust, asbestos fibers in the early days, etc.

Base rate was around $25/hr. but companies now would rather pay OT and work holidays and weekends instead of hiring more people. CEO made literally millions but said we were overpaid.

High turnover rate for new hires. Money sounds good until you see what it's like inside a steel mill. Lol. 100° in summer, 35° in winter. Noise, mobile equipment as big as a house, injuries and deaths.

But other than that, lol...

what are you talking about?
I've made $120 an hr.

I've made as little as 10an hr.

I don't mind working for free depending situation
Not really sure, just bored this morning.

I've made as low as $7.50 and as high as $60/hr.

But that's why I now work for myself, a penny saved is a penny earned.

I figure my time to be worth around $100/hr. Like you though I have no problem donating my time to worthy causes.

How much do you think you saved remodeling that place? What's your time worth with that averaged in?

I'm still calculating that, but I had a crew of 5 guys at one point that I paid $15 an hr. Now it's just me and another guy. So way cheaper than contractors, but still there were costs.
I put more money into that house than it was worth, but I grew up there and my daughter and her boyfriend live there, so there were other factors involved. As in to make it so nice, they wouldn't want to leave. And that is a resounding success.

That house looks pretty impressive after $150K put into it and is an investment on many levels.

Well..
Box trailer-reefer
Owner op $1.5-2 a mile.
Avg 600 miles a day on 11hr dot clock.I bullshit or itd be more

Avg 10-12mpg. 12 in Midwest like running Chicago to Oregon.

Diesel ~$2 a gallon

So $120 for 600 miles =~$1000 a day

Pharm. Salary. But only worked a few hrs a day.
I don't feel like doing more math.
(well some projects are endless)

When I worked as a mechanic it was like $60hr but on flag time
