when a plant is budding,is it ok

to turn the lights on say halfway thru dark for ten mins or so.......a trusted friend told me it shocks the plants into putting more effort into bud production....but then paranoia kicked in as i actually think he is jealous of what a n00b had showed him photos of previously

has anyone tried this? does it work or is he pissing in my cheerios?

so i trid that a long time ago a bud told me it good to look at night to see if i had a problem with bugs but i was useing a led light and it killed all bud production. just like everbody just told you never give the gril light at night no light at all
