Hi, my fem's are about 7 weeks old and still in veg.

Although this is my second grow I didn't take any clones on the first run so this time I want to take some cuttings.

My question is : When is the best time to take cuttings? Pics attached of my sweethearts.

Thanks in advance

first things first m8, if them pics are 7 weeks old then you seriously, i mean seriously need more light/s pointing at the little'uns.

cuttings are way off at the moment m8, they need to develop a lot more.

I got them under a 600 watt metal halide lamp. on 18/6. Fan on them all day, watering twice a day, plants sitting in rockwool cube and then in clay pellets.

Ok thanks, will wait a little more, might keep the light on 24 hours if you guys think they are a little small for their age.

germinated in rockwool cubes. As soon as i can see the shell splitting I have placed them under the lamp. Is that too early?

i dont think so, but some people think the first 1-2 weeks to go really easy on the light till it gets bigger under hid but as long as you dont put the light too close and keep heat down its fine, so i dont think thats the problem. im not sure, did they get stressed badly/medium so far? whats your temps? any nutes yet? sorry if someone already asked any of these b4 and i didnt notice.

temps are 70 on average., nutes at around 300ppm, Ph 5.8, watered twice a day in a Hydro drip system

i didn't realise they were under a MH lamp, that should be more than sufficient for them.
even for 5 weeks they are still quite small, but i don't do hydro so i'll get me coat :)

if those are week 7 in hydro, you've got more to worry about then taking clones, but for your question. wait til it has a formidable amount of branching. then cut away
