We may or may not be growing the same strain, mine is Next Generation - NY Purple Diesel.

Here is what I see going on.

You're doing great!
Healthy green fan leafs throughout, nice bud sites that will fatten up over time and just a generally healthy appearance.

Your grow has defined itself, by that I mean the plant, it's genetics and the environment you provided produced what is now your grow.
What is lacking here is you. All your input has been passive giving the plant everything it asks for and needs; with one exception.... discipline!

You've produced a "Wild Child", undisciplined and spoiled.

20" veg under a 400w HPS IMO is about 8" too high, Flower earlier any thing farther away than 20" with a 400w will not get proper exposure.
If your light is 36" from the floor and a 9" tall pot, 6" min from tops to light leaves you a 21" effective plant height.

Additionally you will get better vegetative growth running a MH or T5 HO 6500K.

I hope this helped, here is my NYPD just this am. I've run this strain under HID and T5, CFL and have yet to see any purple, I don't think my op ever gets cool enough.

Well if your ever interested in learning how I feed my plants let me know, its called "Making It Rain" created by Riddleme who is a guru. What it is basically is that I flush my plants every single time they need a watering and feed nutes every flushing. I pH my flushing water to 5.8-6.0 and then mix my nutes to 6.5pH and thats it. Its been proven and works like a charm. Whats great about it is that you are giving your plants soil a clean slate each feeding preventing any nute build ups which eventually screw your pH up and start locking out other key nutes for your plant to flourish. So hit me up if you ever want to try, I will give you step by step procedures on how to do it and your plants will show you how they like it. Just pay close attention to your plants because learning how to read them is a key factor in growing great healthy plants.
Since this is your 1st grow, the more you read and research the better you will become in growing. I learned my best lessons making the dumbest mistakes. You will make mistakes but learn from them so you know how to detect and prevent that mistake from happening. Growing is a beautiful hobby that really took a lot of stress out of my life.

Peace

i would love to learn this technique, i acutally tryed this yesterday on my 1 gallon pot. dont know if i did it right. i gave it 2 gallons of water and the ph was 5.6. let all the water drain and now it looks a little sad. gonna feed it tomorrow, the top is dry about 3-4 inches. 6.5ph and 20ml of bloom.. do you think i did good or missed something?

What nutes are you using? Do you have them on a feeding schedule? Are you just giving the plant 20ml of Bloom per Gallon of water???? What are you using to give your plant N-P-K and are you using any Micro Nutes?

I do it a little different......

- What I do is if I have a 1 gallon container I take 3 gallons of water pH'd to 5.8-6.0.
- I run all 3 gallons of pH water through the plant's soil surface. (Not over the plant) Dont literally make it rain on them and pour water over the whole plant....
- After I run the 3 gallons of water through, I wait about 15 minutes and then I take 1 gallon of my nute mix and pH that to 6.5 and pour the whole gallon of nute mix through the container.

I do that every single time I feed my plant. Its alot of work when you start growing out of 3 and 5 gallon containers...but it works like a champ.

If your plant looks droopy and sad then YES you did to it right! Right now your plant is sleeping when she wakes up you will she a big difference in her, she will probably be perking up. If not tomorrow then the next day for sure, I would not feed her nutes tomorrow unless you stick your finger in her soil and if its dry then go ahead.

i'm feeding it pure blend pro bloom n-p-k 1-4-5 nutes 25ml, hydroplex bloom maximizer 5ml per gallon, aqua shield 15ml per gallon.
after i did that making it rain technique, i didn't feed her any nutes. just watered it with 3 gallon's of ph 5.6. then put her back in her room. since i didn't feed her any nutes, will it harm her or will she be OK, when i feed her tomorrow? or did i make a big mistake?

Dont feed her until she is dried out some, I dont think she will be dried out tomorrow. If she isnt dried out some you will have a moisture problem from overwatering. Thats why I wait 15minutes after I am done flushing and then fully coat the soil with nutes so when she awakes from sleeping, she goes into hyper-drive and starts wickering nutes and water out through her system.

I dont know about Pure Blend and their lineup. From what you stated you are using a Bloom Nute and a Bloom Booster plus Chicken Shit(Aqua Shield)? Do those carry enough "N" throughout Flowering? What nutes did you use during Veg phase? Smoke a bowl and chill she will be fine!!!
