When do autoflowers start flowering??

Hey guys I have a 24 days old Northern Lights Auto plant in veg right now. She has preflowers but isnt flowering yet. When should I start feeding her bloom nutes? and should I change the cycle from 18/6 to 12/12?? thanks a lot guys!!!

Depends on the strain and I am not familiar with that one. Most of mine have started after two weeks. Maybe 3 or 4. I personally would just wait on some pistols then change over your nutes. I doubt feeding early will influence an auto. Proper autos are already genetically influenced. I dunno tho. Every seed is different. Maybe someone with more knowledge will provide a better answer. The light cycle is never changed on an auto. I run mine on 20/4 from sprout to finish. Flowering starts slowly, be patient. Do not go to all bloom nutes during preflower. Switch to a mix of half grow half bloom. When pistils really start filling in, maybe week three of flowering then switch to all bloom nutes.

1: its an auto ...why distinguish between veg and the other one?

2: its not flowering but has pre- flowers ...then its flowering ..?

3: veg and 'bloom' are photo periodic terms used by 'sewage bottlers'
and other carpet baggers to entice you to spend more,
as you will find less is best with all autos

I would run a 50/50 veg/bloom mix until it shows solidly in bloom. Basically just give it access to increased P and K with a bit reduced N. Then you can go solid bloom once the plant really gets into flower. It like most other plants will still use more N at the beginning of it's life and more P and K at the end. I don't see a need for a sudden transition, I just start adding more bloom and less veg as it proceeds into flower. This is assuming you are in something other than soil.

I just harvested 2 vision northern lights autos. They weren't the fastest autos. Flowering didn't start until at least weak 6, took about 11 weeks total.

I grow my autos on a 24/7 schedule but 20/4 is what is recommended. I give veg nutes at 3 weeks then flower nutes form there on. Works for me.

Every-time time Pedro drives to his dealer 2-3 time per week,
he drives with the handbrake on, after 20 miles or so,
clouds of smoke are seen gushing from his back wheels,

So I ask why does he drive with the handbrake on ...
he says the same ..."Works For Me"
3 days later he gets ..busted!

just think of the weed you could be growing if you just stuck to convention?​

Thanks a lot for all the good advise. Im growing in a 5 gallow dwc. Im going to do a 50/50 dose next rez change which is here in a few days. Hopefully everything will go good. She keeps getting more and more preflowers and shes really bulking out. Shes not real tall but shes bushy as hell lol. Thanks again I was confused as when to feed and what to do with the autos since this is my first time with them. I think im just going to stick with autos from here on out

Good thing about autos is u dont have to change the photoperiod!

I have a 5 day old northern light auto, its my first auto. From what i know this strain takes about 60 days to finish.

why? you will get much more out of non-auto in general and you have more control with non-auto. And you can grow as many plants with just 1 seed as you want. So many advantages to non-auto, only a few for auto, auto has it's uses, but as your main indoor plants? I don't see that as likely to be a great decision unless you have special circumstances.

This is my first auto grow myself, the reason im doing it is 1. well just experimenting with different strains 2. because how fast from seed to harvest so i can experiment different strains faster.

I dont know about other people, but i agree you can veg regular photo-period plants longer and potentially get a bigger yield.

Ya i picked my Northern Lights auto just because i knew it was a good hardy strain and for a beginner like me it was perfect to get the hang of everything before i move on to other things. I tried another one that was non auto it was Red Purps i killed the first one in days and then the second i got it to flower but then when i hit flower something went wrong and she went under. So i figured i could mess around with these untill i get the hang of everything and then move on that way im not wasting expensive seeds

I have 2 auto female northern lights growing right now. They have reached day 38 and just this morning I found a calyx and pistils. I've been checking every day so I know I didn't miss them. I was trying to extend the veg stage as much as possible since I read that auto northern lights usually start to flower around day 30. Mine are on day 38 with 1000w LED lights inside a grow tent.

Dipped tap roots into rooting hormones after germinating then planted. Topped one spot day 20. Transplanted day 23. Started feeding nutes at day 26. Topped 3 and 4 spots on day 31. Now at day 38 I found each plant to be going into preflower.
