What's up guys, this is my very first grow, I prettying built my hydro setup. My plants are now 23 days into their veg state and are looking great. Just don't know when to put them into the flowering stage or how much bigger I should let them get. Thanks a lot and any advise would be great image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

ok those are looking decent but way to soon to flip to flowering
u want atleast 5 to 6 nodes on the plant before u change over to flowering
a node is a the break in the stem between sets of leaves
from those nodes comes the branches so the more u grow the more u yeild
plus u need several of them just to make sure u sexed it as female

pics below are to help u pick up lingo and see what to look for /expect

Get them to at least 30 days, Those are still to small to get any real weight from them.
Are you feeding them?
And you might wanna top them.

Well it all depends on the space and light you have really. Why don't you fill us in before you get overwhelmed by what works best for everyone else..
And hey, just a little tip from one that uses rockwool. Get some white plastic and cover the tops of of them cubes Before they turn green from the light.

Ok little more info, I bought the seeds as feminized, soo I am assuming all should be girls... Yes I am feeding them with flora series nutrients and the ph is 5.8, and I'm using fluorescent lights 5 inches away from the top of the plants for my veg room... I have a separate room for flowering with a 600w HPS light.
And I don't know how to top the plant, don't wanna go cutting shit off and even if I should too them so young, anymore info you need to help me please ask

Never assume anything about feminized seeds except that females are not guaranteed, and Hermie's are a high risk.

Well if your flowering under a 600 then you could grow them out 1-2 feet before you flower and still have good light penetration. Your 600 if air cooled can be about 1' or closer to plants if temps are cool. Just remember taller plants equal more yield. But, only if the light can penetrate to the lowers.. Anything beyond that is a waist.
Keep them green I sure would like to see them in a month from now...

looks too young still for the switch to be flipped. You not thinking of topping em first for extra budding sites?

Really? Because I've grown hundreds of plants from feminized seeds, and never had one not be a female. I've also not found hermies to be an issue.

Well you can top or LST them. Similar results but topping can cause stress and stunt growth for a period of time. Personally I like the LST (low stress training) method. Feed the brain and read a few threads on both to help understand. And really before doing anything that can cause shock make sure they are well rooted...!

Or he can do 2 harvests.Harvest the top half when it's ready and lower the lights to let the lower part to mature.Easy as that - no popcorn.

And that's an option too qroox, done it myself with good results. A full canopy with little air flow can be risky tho so keep a watchful eye if you do this.. Also maybe just me cause I like simplicity, but it's kind of a hassle flushing, chopping then feeding only to flush again. My experience with that method is it's way easier when grown in soil since feeding isn't a big issue.
Best advise for anyone starting out is to read all you can on the different methods and figure what will work best for your space, lighting and skill level.
I don't know who you are but growing is a sickness for me. Just do your thing. Try this try that and when your happy wit the results just do it all over again. Or, You can change up every time and keep it funky!
Beautiful thing growing! Just have fun doing it..

Yeah. One should not be anxious when it comes to growing..I am giving a shot on 100% green plant till the end with a 2nd harvest scheduled..Hazzards on my lower levels are a thought that comes and goes..So far so good ;)

HAPPY grows everyone..!!

Really. For sure. a feminized seed has only a higher chance than 50/50 of being female and many are males. But its the screwing around with genetics that causes the Hermie's, think about a family with few branches on the family tree, lots of short bus riders. A true grower would never use altered/feminized seeds because you get weakened genetics with much higher Hermie rates. This come from the thousands of plants I've grown.

Sorry stoner but i have grown out 72 femmed seeds in the last 2 years from 5 different seed companies. Not one hermied on me so I would have to say its pretty low risk! Yes I know your a master grower but in this case I think your wrong! Genetically yes I think there is more chance for different traits to show in femmed seeds. But 50% male!! I better head to casino as i am one lucky SOB lol.
