When do you start your cuttings?

hey i was just wondering how long everyone gave there cuttings before they put them outside,
for me around may 1st is when the weather is right. so im taking cuttings on april first, giving them 2 weeks to root and 2 weeks to veg.
more veg time generraly = bigger outdoor plant but size is a concern as us guirrila growers have to transport and carry our babies to site.
just wondering everyones thoughts?

On a side note, who else is stoked on the first day of spring!?! im stoked to be out scoutin and preppin spots, already have some blueberry cuttings rooting for a 5 plant monster organic spot i have planned.

im kinda in the same boat i wanna do a guerilla grow and also veg indoors but transporting them is an issue as i have to drive 30-40 mins from my house, travel across a river by boat then hike in the bush for 30 minutes lol how long do u veg ur plants before u clone them? and when u say organic what are you putting ur girls in?

I honestly havnt counted how long i have been vegging, my big BB mother is probably 2-3 months old and the smaller skunkberry is 1 or 2 months. i had mothers going started in decemeber but a tragedy- light falling on plants :( had to clone and start over. and yes i have a fair trip to transport my clones aswell. and by organic i mean 1/2 fish compost 1/2 #4, and quite a few organic admenments mixed into the soil, in a 20 gallon garbage can buried 1/2 way into the ground, fed straight water through to harvest. my hydro shop sells a outdoor mix that has pretty much everything in it you need,i think ill try this year. i will get over 100 cuttings off my one big mother.

Currently have 18 cuttings from a 20 month old BBxW.Widow mother. Started taking cuttings 40 days ago as this strain can be a bit temperamental about rooting but still had about a 80% success rate. Like you, I'm a bit concerned about their size for transportation when May gets here but, plan on aggressive pruning to keep the top-growth under 12" in height. I would rather have a fully developed root system even to the point of some root girdling than undersized plants that take too long to recover from transplant shock. Some woody growth is also preferable since they will be more resistant to a little insect nibbling and/or varmints (deer/rabbits). I've done it both ways and this seems to work best for me. Can't wait until its time to go "fishing". You might be surprised how many babies you can cram in to a 5 gal. bait bucket with a little planning. Going scouting for " honey holes" today in fact so I'm packing my foldable shovel.

cuts in late feb. straight to GH when rooted with supplemental lighting. slowly lower hours from 24 untill late may, then to 2yard smart pots. And thats pretty crazy senor, 2.5 to three months inside? do you hang your lamps vertically? 3 months veg inside, the plants should be 10 footers in that length of time.

I started my clones December 1st.. 35 cuttings. 100% success in my home made aerocloner. Put them into solo cups Dec 16th. New Years day I put 18 into one gallon pots and gave the rest to friends. Upcanned a few to 3 gallon pots and started putting them outside to flower the last week of February. I have 12 outside now. First harvest is coming up in a few weeks. I still have 6 inside. They are all in 3 gallon pots. They are about 3 feet high. Been doing a lot of LST'ing to keep the height down. Started my second round of clones 10 days ago so I'll have plants ready to put out for the summer. I like to put plants outside every 30 days so I get a harvest every month.

iv been making clones for about a month now. I put them outside under cfls from 3 am to sun rise. and they are doin great! if u haven't already my examples are in my thread. im not sure how to post it here but its "tycoons 2013 guerilla grow :)" I will be chopping them pretty much in half and put them in a rubber maid tub to take to my plots. they wil stay root bound til I plant them and cut off about 1/4-1/2 inch of roots off the bottom. they will bounce back bigger then ever! also I water with a good amount of super thrive before transport to reduce stress from transport and root pruning.
