When does it actually start to smell?

during veg ive never grown a plant that has really smelt that bad ,its when they start to bud the smell comes ,and then depending on the strain and how many plants you have will decide on how bad it smells.some people say lowriders etc dont smell much but in my experience any mj plant in flower smells pretty bad (good) there are some good ways of hiding the smell ,do some research on odour controll theres loads of good info out there.

ive never noticed the smell during veg lol but my house does have a perminant smell of weed

my plants smell during veg but they smell like mint. Personally I love it but I bet that LEAs and curious moms find it funny.

They don't smell too much during veg. I'm sure if you didn't smoke weed or ciggs in your house, you would probably smell it if you were close enough. my house has a perminant smell of weed too..

My ladies of (Grapefruit and African Durban x Skunk #1) have just started to poke out of the soil so I'll let you guys know as soon as it starts to smell if at all during veg

Dude my plants are in veg and they stank up my whole room. there about 2-3 feet tall

Ceres has a beautiful veriety thats is just $2 CAD per seed :O
and thats cheap for one of the best tasting strains. but man.... the smell..... once it flowers id have to kill it
it would never get to finish, tried already.... im tellin u bro. SKUNK is going to WRECK YOUR HOUSE 1 week into flower.
if you need stealth, forget it brah, youll need ions, and candles and bounce sheets going 24/7 to cut half that smell ;P lol

i got 9 blueberry in veg and i can smell them threw 3 fucking doors the bastard fings lol get a carbon filter or something like that.

it mostly depends on the strains. i got some hindu kush and there starting to smell 2 1/2 weeks into veg
you generally wont get the strog cannabis scent until you start to flower. if your running an 18/6 light schedule, youll smell it more than at a 24 hour light schedule, but when you go into 12/12 youll really start to smell them when they start to flower. the longer they flower, the "louder" the scent gets.

My bagseed started smelling at 2 weeks, every day it was getting worse. Now the room stinks... outside the room it's weak at4 weeks. No odor control except plug ins to mask it. Carbon filter is on it's way though so it should be covered up nicely.

the first smell i noticed was when i opened the tent at week two veg ..
more of a fresh tomato plant smell .. kind of like a greenhouse growing veg.
gets a little stronger every day...
im growing serious AK47 which i believe to be a strong smelling strain anyway.
i have 17 of them in a 6 foor tent... ill have trouble come flower.
trouble is i have a rather nice carbon filter and fan... but i feal when its turned on the noise will get me busted before the smell....

See, nobody suspects a grow op to be next to a sheriff.
And not to mention they won't think it's growing weed, because there is a small alley between our houses that all the kids go to, to smoke weed.
Kind of annoying for the most part, but now, I just point the finger and say its them smoking it rather than confessing to me growing it.
Cause after all, who would be stupid enough to setup a grow op next to a sheriff =D
It's a mini grow op by the way.
Only 2-3 plants.
