When is a good time to FIM?

I do all mine in veg .. have heard of some doing it the first couple of weeks of flower but i've never tried it ... hope this helps

What period of vegging?
I've heard that you can fim or top as early as four nodes high.
Is there another way to keep her short and bushy?

i wait till there is at least 5 nodes but thats just me , i also use the 12-1 light cycle which seems to keep them short and bushy ... instead of topping i just wait till she is about 12"-15" high and LST the top down ..

lol we were all new at one time ...
i use the 12hr on-5.5hr off-1hr on-5.5 off .. as my veg cycle ..keeps them short and busy .. works well for me as i said ..but others have their own ideas lol .. LST is low stress training .. tying the plant down with string/wire .. what i do is bend the top of the plant over, use a shoelace to keep it in place ... if you search LST you can get pics of how its done .. sorry couldnt be more help lol i dont explain well lol
