when is BIG too BIG?

Thanks...its an odd shape tent... seemed too narrow for the 4ft light and not deep enough for the 2ft.
I figured so long as the lamp can get air in, I'd be ok, but being new I didn't want to take that chance. Again, Thanks JimmyIndica!

Thanks again....I still haven't pulled te trigger on the led 144x3w...I've seen it draw 280w...along with 21000 lumens...people telling not to drop $250 on it. To go with a 400w w/digi balast, but then it being upstairs In a closet...it gets hot and humid. Them I'll have to invest for a bigger exhaust fan, ducting and so on. That's why I would sacrifice the 120w & yield of course. And go w/led. Decisions Descisions.

That led will run almost as hot as the 400w....Cfl efficiency at 9x the cost of Cfl....easy....NO WAY in Hell it draws 280....either....and just fyi, I hate comparing lumens, but my 112 watt DIY fixture is over 25,000 lumens....and it runs cool.....

Surely you must either mean 15,000 lumens or 212W? 25,000 lumens per 112W is 223lm/W, and with a LER of 325lm/W, that would make it 68.6% efficient.

That's it...I'm either going up in smoke or down in flames, I'm going with the HPS system....just saw a shops shutting down...they have a Quantum 600w digi balast w/ dim switch down to 75% or 50% juice, Hydrofarm 6" cool tube, Hortilux for $ 250...does that sound right?
New never used.

I would get this setup and draw 310watts and cover a 3x3 when set together. I use the to cover an 1.5ft x 4 ft and and average around 275-300g a run. Screw the hps setup! For $800 u will not regret!
