I know autos require significantly less nutes - maybe 1/4 strength - but when is "too early"?
I have 5 autos @ day 13 and they are fairly small. This strain is supposed to get anywhere from 50-60cm to 80cm, depending on the breeders I've reviewed. I've had the seeds 3 or 4 years, so I don't remember which specific breeder at The Vault I purchased them from, but RQS says 50cm on average, so we'll go with that.
They are all in a 2x4x5 in 2 gallon smart pots, so in theory I've got plenty of room. Lighting is good - two 195 actual watt LED's for a total of 49 watts a sq/ft if my math is correct. They are in FF Salamander Soil, which is 60-70% coco coir, perlite, and some other misc. stuff. Ratio on the bag says 0.35, 0.25, 0.20 and 1% calcium. It's all I could get within a 50+ mile drive, so it is what it is.
I think I've read here that you need to add more nutes to mixtures that are heavily coco, but since auto's need less... ? I was feeding them 7.5 pH water for the first 1-ish week (I misread something). Now they are getting 6.5 pH. I think I cause some damage early on because they leaves have some discoloration.
Sorry for the long post. I can post pics if that helps, but it's really a question of when I need to feed.
Thanks all!
