when is it too late too top?

Read a little and see a lot of people start topping between the 2nd - 4th nodes, is it too late at 8+? still at least a month away from flowering...

as long as you top in veg you are good. You can expect a little shock to the plant so never do it during flower (Don't want to risk making a chick with some dick).

as many colas as will still allow ventilation, and can be supported by roots/stem.
