When is the best time to transplant??

How old or big should the sproutng be to take it from its plastic cup and put it in a 3 gallon pot? Thanks

It says 3-5 days after they sprout...well thats what i came up with from info on the internet!! Thaks
JUST REALIZED THIS WAS 420th POST!!!!! YEAH !!

around 3 weeks, they tend to root bound at 5 weeks in the 16oz cups

.... thanks for that.... I just chocked it up to a site problem

you could always wait till the soil is pretty dry, and carefully flip the plant upside down, and gently tap on the bottom of the cup and the whole thing should plop out in your hand.. if the roots look like they are all down to the bottom of the cup and circling around the bottom of the cup, its time to transplant them.. just be extra careful doing this as you don't want to disturb the roots too much....

i always do my first transplant when the cotyledons are starting to yellow, so about 2weeks in.... you just want to be sure that it has a good root system.
