Just wondering if its best to tie from the the very tips or anywhere on the the branch? Any tips appreciated

I fist use a string in the other direction then I intent to bend it, just over the soil to secure it so I don't uproot, I might also use two strings to bend it so the bend don't get to "sharp" so to speak, depending on how easy it is to bend, work it a little before you make the "real" bend, can even do it a little over a few days if your worried about it snapping, use some soft string and do the top bend just below the top leaf`s so the string is hold in place by the leaf steams/grow ..

I went about an inch a node from the tip so i didnt stunt new growth then untied it a week into flower idk if its bettet to untie or keep tied down in flower its my first grow but they are looking good pretty nice sized branches

A 400watt hps ...just pulled the tallest one over a bit and tied tied it down so i dont have to move the light up more if i keep the fan.blowing directly in on high i can keep the lighy like 10inchs away and keep a 80f temp at the tallest bud height
