So my plant just reached a week old or so and she stretched some (3inches tall!!)after leaving her on the window sill for 3 days awaiting for my lights to come.(I'm planning on transplanting her into a 5g pot later)I bought a 600w hps light since im on a tight budget i could only afford one bulb but i went for the 400/600w lumatek. My plant is atm 20 inches away from the glass @400w 16/8 off at 12 on at 8 since i have no timer ): The lamp is hooded and has glass (yield master 2) should it be closer to the light? This is my first grow so don't be to hard on me if im doing something wrong point it out pls and I'll try to make the adjustments:bigjoint:

Ah I almost forgot to mention was digging thru my drawers and I found some seeds I ordered from attitude last december that never where planted :D so 2 nights ago I put them(northern lights/afgan kush/afgan ryder) in my Very old but very usable germstation which was never used lol and 1 popped out tonight from the coco media that still worked after 2 years of being stored in my garage So now im thinking of making a journal of those 3 babies hope people will drop in to see the progress someday :)

Oh and my question is when do u know when your plant is ready for nutes? I don't want to deprive(lol?) her of nutes and kill her, so how tall should she be,sets of leaves? how can i determen whens shes ready?
here's pic that was taken tonight

around week 3, start low and slowly work your way up(start at 25-50% of directed on the bottle) i feed about once every 3 waters. if you see any tip burning and/or the leaves look dark green back off and dont feed for a bit, it means its got all it can possibley take.

get the light as close as possible. if you can hold your hand where the plants top is for 60 seconds and it doesnt become uncomfortabley warm you are not too close, if it does raise the light up and repeat the test till you find where you need to be.
